Im the owner of sizeofpaper so i decided to start a discussion here instead of having to reply to every thread about SoP. If you have any questions then you can ask here and ill reply here. Ill also try keep this discussion up to date with any new things happening with SoP.
SoP is down once again. I was on holidays and didnt have time to change servers before i left so the server once again was crashing so the host suspended my account until i can move it over to another host. I have purchased a vps and am now setting it up. I am waiting for the dns to propergate and move over to the new host and then ill have to wait for my old host to reactivate my account so i can get the latest backup and upload to the new host.
I have gone for a higher end vps so hopefuly there will be no more problems. It will probably take a few days for it all to be set up and ready.

Hi, thanks klaja26, it sure was easier to find out what is going on by having you start a discussion about SOP's status. I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to keep SOP posters up to date. Sorry for all the trouble the site is having, must be quite frustrating for you. SoP is back up again. Still have lots of testing to make sure everything is working. So far search engine friendly urls arent working so some links wont work as i have had to turn them off but other then that i havent seen any other problems yet. Still fixing the server so it should be a little faster then what it is now and ill be changing the layout a little bit to speed it up. Other then that everything should be good.

The site now looks like its up but it isnt really working properly yet. Ive got the database working but now i have to get the entire site working and it will take a while. I suggest not posting on the site until i give the all clear as you may lose any posts you make (although atm i dont think its possible for you to post anyway). Ill post here once the site is working 100%.

Hi - thanks for keeping people informed with what's happening with your site.
I've just tried to register, all went well until I reached the capture as the image isn't loading (tried refreshing it) - is this a universal problem with the site or just on my end?

Well if you look there now you will see there is a message saying the site is moving over to a new server. Now i just have to wait until my old host gives me my database files. They have sent me an email saying they will do it soon but it could take a long time because they seem to be very slow at doing things.

thanks for the update. i was pretty worried to see SOP down. it's good to know that it will be back.
