A little over a year ago, my fiance and I rescued a kitten that was abandoned and snuck into our housse. We couldn't take care of him, but a couple of wonderful myLotters who lived not too far away came to get him. They had several rescue kitties, and he was added to the collection. Since I lived in San Antonio, they called him Tony, short for San Antonio. I've been to see him once since we had to give him up, but I miss him all the time. Just yesterday I was thinking about him and talking to my fiance about him, and just now I got an email about how he was doing. It made me happy but made me cry at the same time. How I miss him so much! I wish we were in the position to care fore him. I really do. When we took him in, he was still a very young kitten. Now he's all grown up and fat, lol. I want to see him before we move to Utah, but the chances of that happening are slim as we are saving up money to move and it'll be fairly costly. It's an interesting little story how we got him and all. I had opened my front door to check the mail. We lived in a duplex and the mail was just outside. Apparently, he slipped in unnoticed while the door was open. My fiance's blind and I can't see well, so that may have contributed, but he was a sly little bugger anyway. Well, after checking the mail, I returned to my computer desk and went about my business. A few minutes later, I felt a rubbing of fur on my leg. I stopped what I was doing and reached down to see what rubbed my leg and I heard an adorable little meow and felt this tiny kitten. It was love at first, erm, touch?! I picked him up and cuddled him and all that and we decided to take care of him til we could get someone to take him, since we weren't in a position to properly care for him, though we would've loved to. There was a shop down the street, so we sadly shut the poor guy up in the bathroom as we went to get him a cheap litter box, litter, and food. While we were gone, apparently he had to go potty, and whether smartly or luckily, he went out of the way in the tub and we only had to rinse it down. He was a happy kitty and we took care of him. He even slept between us in our bed, cuddled up to me. I managed to fairly easily find someone who lived nearby and was willing to drive up and get him, seeing as we can't drive. It was a bittersweet departure as on one hand, we knew he'd have a better home, and on the other, we didn't wanna let him go. I'll never forget Tony, the sly little kitty that he is, and I hope he has a long happy and healthy life!Anyone else have any kitty stories, sad or happy, that they'd like to share?

Tony looks kind of like my Jason. We are fostering kittens. There were three in the litter, Nancy, Jason and Diego. Nancy and Jason were manxes and Diego is a manx mix but he has a tail. We had Nancy and Jason spayed and neutered and took them to the adoption center and Nancy was adopted. After we brought Jason home I decided to keep him. Little Diego has been sick so we haven't been able to have him neutered until now but next week he goes and then he will be adopted too. The kids still miss Nancy and she's been gone over a month. They will miss Diego too. But Jason is my fourth cat and that's already one too many. I did meet Nancy's new family and they seemed really nice. Diego is a sweet little guy so I hope he finds a really good home too. I know you miss your kitty but I'm glad that he's got a good home!

My fiance misses him too, but he's not as torn up as me. Then again I'm probably more emotional. Not to mention that I was the one Tony made himself known to. Rubbed on my leg and looked up at me and meowed, awww! hehe
