Well, I'm not too sure on what you want to make a tutorial of, or even how to make a tutorial lol, but I just made my first video, and I recommend using Windows Movie Maker. First of all, this software comes free with Windows Vista, and if you are still on XP, you can download it for free at http://downloads.com without any worries of computer safety.
Second, its real easy to use, as I said, I just made my first ever video with it, and it only took me like 3-4 hours to do. Well, it would have been a lot shorter if I had a better computer lol. And I was being picky over what it looked like as well.
If you want to see my first video, here is the link:

Pretty good for a neophyte in all this huh?
The user interface is very simple to use, and can make anyone's video look professional!

I appreciate you thinking that I am such the expert on these videos, but this is the first video I've ever created. I learned through a short training that I did with the Free Online Cash System, so I really don't know how to coach anyone through their own. I will look around for you and see if there are any videos that will help you. What software did you decide on?
