Does your cat ever annoy you?

My oldest cat, Big Man can be really annoying sometimes. Like this morning, when he woke me up just past seven A.M. Nobody should be awake that early on a Saturday morning. And, then when I finally dragged myself out of bed, he ran up on me and meowed loudly. I guess his intention was to scare me into giving him more food. Instead, I just got annoyed. Of course, he got the food. But, I was not very happy with him. Don't get me wrong, I love that old cat. I wouldn't have put up with ten years of his shenanigans if I didn't love him. But, he really gets on my nerves sometimes. Does your cat ever annoy you? How do you deal with your annoying cat?

Bandit is one of those cats that for the most part acts like you are not around, but once in awhile he gets all needing on you. He will walk up to you and meow, rub himself on you, play with your feet the whole pet me bit. Normally I am fine with it, but when I stumble out of bed at 3 am to go to the bathroom the last thing I want to be doing is petting a cat.

Our Orange Cat is the same way. He pounces on me at the least opportune moment and demands petting. No, seriously, that is his name. My daughter named him Orange Cat cause he's orange. I tried to get her to name him Toby, or something cute, but she insisted on Orange Cat as his name. Now it's sort of stuck to the furball.

Awww...guess the poor kitty was hungry, huh? And you're right how annoying to be awakened so early on a weekend day. My two kitties are pretty mellow actually and don't really do anything to annoy me, they pretty much put up with MY antics. I guess we have a really good understanding between the three of us

My cat is just getting old, so his hearing is bad. And, he misses me, so he's vocal whenever we are seperated, but even so much as a door.

Hello beauty queen. I know that you love your Big Man very much though it is sometimes a little bit annoying to you because of his waking you up for the food. I think that the cat would not have done this if he knew that it were Saturday and Sunday to you guys. lol. Good day to you, my dear friend.

He's a really good cat. But, I think he is getting older so he can't hear well. That's why he speaks so loudly. Thanks for your comments.

I haven't seen you discussing around for awhile! :) Then again I haven't been on myself. We have an annoying cat as well. There will be times that we want her out of our room, so we kick her out, and this is when we're getting ready for bed, so we go and close all doors that we have left open, yet she goes into the room directly across from us, even though we always close that door as well. Lol, I guess that's not really that annoying, but it being late, and us being tired, I guess you could say it is.

Mine does funny stuff like that too. I have four cats, including one juvenile male kitten, named Orange Cat. And, he is getting to be a real handful. He's barely five months old, but almost as big as my older cats. I think he's going to be a whopper! His Daddy was an outdoor Orange cat and he is a huge cat, so I know my own Orange Cat is going to be the same.

My cat Jake, annoys me because he is always trying to attack my other cat. He acts just like a child who is a bully. As soon as my husband or me leave the room, Jake is in attack mode. These two cats have been together for six years, and the bullying has not stopped. Yes, Jake annoys me to no end.

Cats are like people, they would do anything to get your attention and to get what they want. Try to cuddle your cat as often as you can and perhaps get him into your habit. teach him not to wake up early on Saturdays, too.

Will try that tip! Thanks. He's an old cat, (ten years old), but he still acts like my baby. Thanks for your comments.

Poor baby. I'm sure she missed her mama. My old cat would miss me if he left. He's a big old mama's boy. But he's afraid to go outside, so I never have to worry that he'll wonder off. I'll miss him when he does leave me.

Wow! Ten years! I remember our old cat, she was seven years old that time. She just got too old and forgot to come home.

My cats annoy me with their affection, its just so overwhelming at times. I cant sometimes do anything without them sticking to me like glue, its even as pathetic as them sitting on my shoulder like a parraot, its so hard to do things...lol.

My cats have this urge to get into any room to which I open the door. I don't know what they think they're going to find, but it drives me nuts. The two most irritating places they always seem to want to be are the store cupboard and the loja downstairs. The store cupboard I can almost understand as it does contain food. Only it's all in tins & I don't think the cats have mastered the tin opener yet. Downstairs is more of a problem as I currently have a mother rabbit and her young down there in a cardboard box and I'm sure the cats would be very interested in baby rabbit, given a moment unsupervised. It doesn't matter how many times I throw them out, they're back between my ankles the next time I'm there. And I swear they work together and approach from different angles so they have a better chance of success.

I'm not a cat lover, but I don't hate them, I have this cat, my granny owns... she's very annoying, not sometimes but most of the time, because of all the cats we've had, she's the most stubborn. She's so noisy when hungry...like a cry of a baby, she bites a little if not I'm not getting her attention, she used her claws as well...but I knida forgive this cat because despite of her personality she never really hurts me. she just want some attention, that's why, I still find time to play with that stubborn cat..so that she won't feel left out. I think I'm learning to like her somehow, she's doing her role in our house, like killing rats and roaches...LoLz!

I have a siamese cat and if you have ever heard them they tend to have very loud annoying meows. Sounds like a baby crying. Well my cat loves to walk around the house screaming at the top of her lungs, all the time, lol. I also hates when she decides my pillow is hers and takes it all up. I would kick her off but shes so cute laying on it, lol. I keep extra pillows on my bed for just such emergencies. Her and my dog also tend to fight over me on occassion and can create a lot of noise running into things. Well with all the annoying things she does, I love her dearly and put up with all her personality quirks. Thankfully, she has access to her food at all times, so I do not get many wake up calls in the morning, unless I forget to replenish her food supply, then all bets are off.

I had 3 kitties and 1 would always wake me up in the morning. At first I thought it was before of food but I started leaving a second bowl and there was always food left over in the morning but he'd still wake me up at around 7 or 7:30 every morning. When I came out he'd be fine, didn't even want to be petted, he just wanted me awake, lol. The other guy and girl were fine. They were awake too, but being quiet about it.

My cat does annoy me sometimes. She sleeps all day and then when I go to bed she decides she wants to play with me. Then she will meow so loud throughout the night until i give her more food even though i feed her a couple hours ago.

Yes, my cats used to hate it when I was on the computer. They'd jump on my lap, and then push up on my arm with their back each time I tried to type or use the mouse. I'd look at them, they'd look at me, and I'd ask them to stop. They'd sit back down, sigh, and then do it again until I finally stopped trying to use the computer. I'd ask them what they wanted and they'd either rub all over me (they want attention), or they'd jump down and cry until I followed them. It was annoying because I had work to do!

all cats do that. it is there way of talking to you and telling you that they are hungry. when i get up to feed my cat, he walks me to his food area and i open a can of Fancy Feast for him to eat. he eats it and goes to his cat bed or cat tree and relaxes happily after his breakfast. then, in the evenings, he comes to me because he wants his dry food snack, which is the holistic dry food. i put out some for him and he enjoys that too. then he sleeps and relaxes somewhere in the house happily.

I have 7 cats and yes at times they can get annoying. Take for example now, one is laying on my mouse pad and I am having a tough time using it. Or yesterday morning another would not get out of my face in the morning. She wanted to lay her face on mine which was not a problem, but then she would move her face and tickle me with her whiskers. That really annoyed me. At other times, two will try to sneak outside when I come home from work. I can usually catch them, but once, it was dark outside and one of my black cats got out and I had a hard time finding him. Then I was mad and annoyed. THey do annoying things, but in the long run, they make up for it with all the love and affection they give me. I am sure that at times we as humans can be annoying to them. Lke when I want to pet them when they are sleeping. Or when I make them move out of the tub when I need to take a shower. So they probably just seeing the annoying factor as being revenge to their humans.

We used to have a cat that would insist on cuddling at night. Sometimes, he would nuzzle in your hear and even bite at your scalp (lightly, not trying to hurt). I think he liked certain shampoos because he would lick your hair. Loved that cat.

My cat annoys me so much! It stalks me around our house. Where ever I go it has to go. It sleeps on my chest at night and sleeps on top of my computer moniter when i'm on the computer. It even follows you into the bathroom and sits on the tub when your showering!
