who is the best tennis player of all the time??

Hands down the best tennis player of all time is Pete Sampras. He played in a time when men's tennis was filled with excellent players that were at his level and he consistently won time after time. Pete has always carried himself with such grace on the court. I don't think that players today have that grace!

by stats, it has to be roger federer for sure.

I would say it is bjorn Borg. The cool swede won five 5 Wimbleton & 7 french open titles. Anyone who can win in such diverse surfaces has to be great. He was also the coolest player on court, never showing his emotions or getting upset at calls.

i have to say that it has to be Samprass. because we cant grade federer as he still is playing.

I think its a toss up between roger federer and pete sampras.If roger beats pete sampras record of grandslam titles then hes definitely the best.Competitions today is much fiercer compared to the old times with much more competition.

I used to believe that it is Roger Federer because also I'm a big fan. But when I've watched the Australian Open and Vijay Amritraj pointed out that Rod Laver won all the four grand slam titles in a single year (Australian, French, Wimbledon and US) and has done that twice, first in 1962 then again in 1969. I now think that makes Rod Laver the Best Tennis Player of All Time

in my opinion pete sampras is the best tennis star i hav seen. i thnk if federer would not hav been - what he is now if had played in the generation of sampras, agassi etc. it would hav been more nice if federer played along with the prev generation stars coming to sampras, he is a class of his own. he is mentally strong and is a delight to watch him winning in a grandslam final

In my opinion, Roger Fedderer is the best tennis player of all times. However, this becomes debatable simply because he has not won French Open. But the kind of domination he has shown in other courts for a period of 4 years is quite amazing and cannot be achieved by anybody in near future atleast.
