I don't make much from Helium.com in comparison to the other sites I write for. I've been looking at the Marketplace lately, though, and I can see that they're offering much better pay for those pieces compared to when I first joined a couple of years ago. I've heard it's difficult to get picked, though. I'm going to give it a shot! In these tough economic times, it's foolish to leave stones unturned!

Yes, I'm a professional writer. I've been writing for various web sites since 1999, and now I'm earning a full-time living writing. It wasn't easy reaching this goal, but I did it bit by bit through trial and error. There are a lot of wonderful writing opportunities available online and I try to embrace as many of them as possible.

Hey, are you a professional writer? Personally I think helium is really great if you write for money... like if you're a freelancer for a newspaper or what not, Helium is a GREAT place to make some extra bucks... what do you think? It's not for those people who are just looking to get rich quick though...

I write sometimes, however, mainly I post my articles on Associated Contents. I attempted Helium too, but could not much understand its working. I did not enjoy much working on Helium, moroever, it is not possible to work on all the sites. Associated Contents appears easier to me to work on.

Helium is a great place to write. The contests and marketplace assignments are ideal if you want to make some more money. The key to Helium is the quality of your articles, not just the quantity. People give a lot of good suggestions and help on their too. I even had someone purchase one of my articles a few months ago, and made an extra twelve dollars.

Thing I noticed on helium having written 320 articles so far, is that rating is a time consuming process to get the correct selection. I tend to start answering the question topic head on at the beginning of writing the review title. I also avoid debates and certain topic channels as they do not qualify for upfront payments. Still am not convinced about helium as the paypal details need to be entered.

Hi che, thanks for starting this good discussion so that I could have this opportunity to read the valuable information from the responses here and learn more about the Helium site. After reading the description from the users here, especially those tips and details relevant Helium site from Bebs. I would like to express my gratitude to her for sharing such effective tips here.
I’m glad that I come to know the said site is really a good site for people who are interesting in writing articles. I would like to pay a visit to it during my spare time every now and then. Though I’m not good in writing I believe I still could learn more information and enhance my writing skill as well by reading the articles there all the time.
Hi che, I know you are very good in writing and I hope you would earn some income by writing articles there and wish you all the best

The most important thing with Helium is to be very active. Make sure you spend a fair amount of time rating other people's work to get your rating stars. Also, their contests pay really good and I have earned from them pretty well. Helium is a good site, but it will take you some time to get it all going. I wish you the best !

hello, my friend i write one time at helium and i was #6 out of ten....i think for a new writer you must write your own experience first..so that you can express what you wanted to say..of course you must have also gathered some information to prove...that you are the original writer..goodluck

I am not the best person to advise you Checapricorn. However, I am told that Helium and Associated Content are quite good places to start. I did once post a story on Triond, I need 1,000 views to earn a dollar. I have 142 so far. I don't think that I will make it. LOL. However, more power to you and I wish you the very best of luck.

Hello checapricorn,
Ah, you just joined the site? I heard about it many times and happen to read some discussions about it. I am not sure whether it is a good site or not as I read that the admin just altered some of the rules there. Maybe you should give a try since you already joined the site. As on how to earn from there, I am not sure about the rules.
