Hi Mylotters, On responding to an age old topic of AMD vs Intel I went down memory lane in regards to Memory and the speed now being far faster than my original pc. My first Pc was an old 286 running 8mb of ram and a 40mb hdd. I was so happy being able to have my own pc. The discs were the huge 5.25" black discs. I thought it was the best thing. I had a 15" CRT which had 2 different screen colours, black and orange or black and green. Now looking back on it i think calculators today have more processing power. What was your first pc and why did you love it??? Kind Regards

I didn't know the first thing about computers when we got our first one, so I don't remember speed or size, but I do remember that we had an Acer with 16k modem and thought it was awesome to get "on the internet" (Remember Prodigy?)

I love my first PC it was 66Mhz DX2, memory 8MB EDO-DRAM, VGA 2MB and 20mb hdd. I had a 14" monitor CRT which had 3 different screen colour green, red, and blue. It was 16 color if we use normal color. I think now is better than my first PC, i have AMD Duron 900Mhz, memory 256MB S-DRAM, VGA 128MB ATI-RADEON and 20gb hdd, 16 million color.
