Ahh, january: the air is fresh, weather may seem like a punishment, but hey!, february is near. What does it mean?
Febraury is the second month of the year, and it has been so for many years now. Many people feel nothing special about it. Febraury might seem totally worthy of our disinterest. And in fact is. But there are some people who find febraury to be one of the most enjoyable periods of the year.
I count myself among those people. Why? Because it is the shortest month? Sure not. Because of its morphing nature, varying from 28 to 29 days in an endless cycle? Definitely not. National Holiday? I'd say maybe. Many would say yes. And everyone of us got to agree.
Superbowl time friends! Febraury is so special to many people because of superbowl. Bah, superbowl: two teams of men hitting each other trying to take an ugly ball to the other side of the camp. No my friends, Superbowl is far away from that. And it is because of the pure nature of the game. Heroes are born, dinasties are created and millions of people gather inspiration from it.
Many of those millions live in my country, Mexico. This country is usually believed to always look up to USA to try and imitate them. However, this country has its own beautiful culture and traditions. Ironically, one growing tradition here is watching Football (we call it 'American Football', since our word for soccer is football), and one of the most followed teams is the Pittsburg Steelers, of which i am a fan indeed.
This leads me to think: what would be the influence in people around the globe this superbowl is going to have? Whoever wins, Arizona/Pittsburg, people will feel the same? Are people going to behave the same? Work the same? Dream the same?
The answer is yours, meanwhile, let me enjoy this january noon, the month before the heroes are born.
