When,I was in elementary school I had a best friend. Then when we went to junior high school we went to different schools. Then I had a new best friend at that school. Then after 2 years we moved to the next county over.I made a new best friend in that school. She moved far away.
Some people have a best friend for a whole time and others don't.Do you have the same best friend that you have had all your life?

Hello dfollin! We almost have the same story. When I was in elementary school, I had a bestfriend too but then I had to move to different town because my dad was assigned there after 6th grade. I do have a new bestfriend then when I was in first year highschool. Then I had to go to the city again to study in college so I met a new bestfriend. They will still remain my best friend forever.

It is hard to stay friends forever when you move and loose touch.

I had a best friend while growing up, once we got grown we moved on with our lives. I still consider er a friend, we don't keep up with each other. Since I have been grown I have had the same best friend for about 26 years. I met her when se was pregnant with her second child. The child is now a mom. My friend and I are grandparents and are still the best of friends. She is my soul mate friend, we will be friends for life. Its a good feeling to know that you have a friend like that.

I have a best friend and we've been friends for like ten years. We're friends since elementary school. We're currently in different universities now. I also met good people in my high school. I'm still friends with them and still close to them. :)

I am not saying that all friends are not a blessing just that it would be good to have one friend all your life.

I think it is relatively hard to have the same best friend through out life. Reasons are varied, from moving to that people grow at different times and change thru time. I have had a few best friends thru my life.
I have to say they all meant a great deal to me at the time and I have thought about one, I do know where she lives and everything. We are just so different now and live totally different lives.
My best friend now is the closest one I have ever had thou. I think as you are older you can really appreciate a person. You realize what they really bring into your life.

I have someone I consider my bestfriend (though the feeling may not be mutual ) since our high school years. We went to different schools in college and worked in different cities after that. Now she's in Kansas with her husband, probably having another set of bestfriends as she always do. But even with the time, the distance, the circumstances, the bad things she did to me, or the fact that I've met wonderful people and friends in my life, I still consider her as my bestfriend. Shucks! Look what loyalty can do! Hahaha! Have a great day!

Well, I have the same best friend and I add more to it. It is really different when you have a best friend because even it they move to other places, they still are thoughtful to you though you are fart away. I have best friends but when they move away or I moved away, we found another best friends on the area but we still remain best friends though we are far.

sad to say, i only had one best friend in my entire life and i lost her. we were really best friends but then when we were juniors (3rd yr high school) , we kinda fell in love with each other then we broke up mid year of our senior year because i fell in love with another girl. she took the break up really bad and she said she can't be my best friend anymore... and that's how it ended. losing her is my life's greatest regret.

Yep! I've been best friends with mine since I was born. Our mom's are really close and her mom is also older than my mom. My best friend is six months older than me. When me and my mom moved away because my step dad got a new job, we now live far away but she is still my best friend no matter what and I miss her. It doesn't matter how far your best friend lives. Get a phone, text her. Go on an airplane and see each other on the holidays, spring breaks and summer. She can still be your best friend no matter how far she lives away.

Absolutely I have the same best friend that i have all my life. But there are many best friends which are best friends from my elementary school life to college life. One of them is my best friend. He is working with me.

I think that today, when the people are moving so much, can't have one best friend for all ours life.
It's impossible. We are going so far to school, work, and live.

I was never able to hold on to a best friend myself. The first time I lost my bff, my parents divorced and we moved. Then at my new school it was hard being the new kid and I was slow to make new friends. I really envy people that have been able to keep a best friend for their entire lives. I want to make sure nothing like this ever happens to my daughter I refuse to move and make her change schools. Sadly though, her best friend moved after kindergarten. It broke my heart and hers. Hopefully this won't happen again. She's halfway through 1st grade and still hasn't replaced her friend.
