What did you think about season 1 of Dexter?

My husband rented the season 1 series of Dexter shows from Netflix. I'm addicted now. Anyone know how many seasons to the show there is? We just finished season 2. I cant believe how many twists and turns in the story line there is. I am amazed that Dexter has not been caught. In season 1 I kept getting assumptions on who I thought was going to be the one to do certain things and get caught etc. My husband had no idea so when I kept seeing things unfold the way I thought they would it was so cool. I felt like either the show was way to predictable or I am just really good at guessing whats going to happen from reading books so much. What do you think? Am I good or what:) I wonder how long they will be able to come up with new ideas for the show. I am amazed I never could think up so many ideas. The creators of this show are brilliant.

A perfect piece of television, in my opinion. It was this season that I fell in love with Dexter, both the character and the show, and it's this season that I consider the best of the entire show (with Season 2 a close second). Everything about it was perfect, and the story-line had me hooked and on the edge of my seat until the legendary finale.
The Ice Truck Killer was wonderfully macabre and his mind-blowing reveal was sensational. Dexter's monologues were darkly delightful and Michael C. Hall delivered the best performance I have ever scene. Season 1 just had it all, from the remarkable kill scenes to the subtle yet superb cinematography.

I agree completely. This show pretty much has it all. The actors are brilliant in their parts. The scenes are gory and keep you on the edge with all the twists and turns in the plot. I believe that I did start watching the second season before my ex and I split up but I cant remember what I left off on.

For me, season 1 and 2 are one of the best seasons of Dexter. I tried to predict what will happen but I was always surprised with the events. I really like this show. There's a lot of twist and it is really brilliant.

I enjoy watching this series alos. It's so twisted!. It's not your common TV series. I like the Idea that he is using evil to destroy evil. haha. There are 3 seasons so far.
