I really2 love Lakers and hopes that they will win the NBA title this season, however it will be a tough battle since Celtic is not the only obstacle for them. One thing that i think is essential on the Lakers Championship campaign is working on their defense, we know Lakers are a great team with great players, but these season i think they neglected their defense a bit, they scores lots of point but they also concedes too much for a big team like them. What do you guys think about Lakers' soft defense??

I disagree that their defense is soft. It's true though that compared to their offense, they aren't stepping up in terms of defense. And you're also right, the Celtics have a better defense. But it's OKAY. I look at the Lakers overall and see that they're very strong this year. They'll make it to the championships for sure. I'm not sure if they can win the title this year, but hopefully they do! I'm definitely rooting for Kobe and the gang!

well that's kind of my point, I'm just scared that if they don't step up their defense quality they might fail to win the tittle again this year, even with a complete squad

no they're defense is not too soft . if you compare them last season they really improve now in terms of defense . and i think they are really improving it in terms of pressuring other teams and limiting they're scoring

Hello. Lakers is a great team. The offense of this team is pretty good, but the defense is a little weak. The players, including Paul or Radmanovic are not good defensers.Of course,Kobe and Ariza are active and smart. I really appreciate the defense of Boston and Spurs.Very strong.

Lakers defense is not too soft. We play pesky defense with good rotation. When drew is in the line up, rotations are easier since the paint is always protected. But with Drew out of the middle, the Lakers have done a great job rotating and keeping up with the ball movement. I think is they continue to give the effot on the defensive end, ie, rotate, help etc, the Lakers will be fine. And since we got rid of the worst defender in the league, Valde Radmanovic, things are only going to get better for the Lakers.
