my 8-year old daughter made me cry!

I have been working alone and far away from home.... (approximately 11-12 hour land travel from my workplace to my hometown)!
As a single mom, with three young kids to sustain, I find it really hard to stay away form my kids and work for almost 15-16 hours a day with a very low compensation.
However, I don't have any better option than to keep on working...
My only consolation, source of hope and strength are my lovely, innocent kids...
One day, when I lose my job and almost starve to death (without my family and kids knowing it), I receive a phone call from my daughter...
At her very young age, she tenderly said, "Mom, although you are saying you are totally fine out there, I can feel in your voice that you are very hungry... It seems you have not yet eaten for some days already....It seems you are in trouble... Mom, do you know that before I sleep at night and everytime I wake up in the morning, I always thank God for giving us a wonderful mom like you? I also pray that He takes care of you always, and let you be with us again, for good!"
To others, my daughter's words may mean nothing! But to me, those are the most touching words I ever heard! And those words truly made me cry.... Not because of my aching empty stomach but because of the overflowing happiness in my heart... Now I realize, that inspite of all the failures and heartaches I have since my childhood, I am still fortunate.... God has given me a very precious gift.... He give me my three loving and thoughtful kids.... specially my only daughter...

Aint it amazing that the simple words from your child can make you forget all your problems just for a moment. I know that when it gets real hard for me I think of my kids and its ok.

You are right! Kids can truly be one of God's greatest gifts to parents, especially to us, moms!
My kids are my most valuable treasure I ever have!

Oh My Gosh. Those are very touching words. Kids really are the ones that get us through tough times. I have been blessed with 2 wonderful children and without them I see no point to go on.
You will find a way to support you and your family. You just need to keep looking. I have been in the same situation with no one to help and it is very hard, but things will get better. Have faith that you will find a job better and closer to your family.
Hugs,

It relieves my pain to know that moms like you understand how I feel!! indeed, it pays to share/open up one's innermost fears, joys, and dreams!!!
Thank you for giving me those encouraging words! It lightens my burden, in one way or another!
