I don't have a favorite amongst the books. Each one is distinct and I love reading all of them all over again. By the way, I am reading book 7 again. ^_^

My favorite would be the third book because it was fast paced, dark but still funny. I thought the second book was the most boring because a quarter of the time, Harry was stuck in Privet Drive doing nothing - then there's also the 5th book that was just oh so filled with teenage angst. The fifth book was what really irritated me, which meant that it was well written :D because it got me to react exactly how I would have reacted to a person who was as angsty as Harry at that time.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

The first book is also my favourite too! I still remember how I started reading the book and could stop until I finish it and buy the other books in the series the next day. The first book is most interesting in exploring the Wizard's world for the first time, and meet the cheerful characters that makes me laugh a lot.

Though I love the complete series, I would doubtlessly say that the first 5 books (upto order f the pheonix) were totally magnificient. After that, I think it lost its momentum. The last two books, for me, seemed to have written hurriedly to meet the growing fan requirements. They are nothin near bad anyway, but not as great as it could have been.
