Is it time for the legend to retire?

Sachin Tendulkar is unarguably the best batsman the world has seen till date. He has given us some 20 wonderful years of creative ingenuity and technical excellence in batting. Watching him play has been a pleasure to the eye and the bat. Whether its the mighty pase of Shoaib Akhtar or the lethal spin of Shane Warne, he always emerged the winner.
But in the past few years, his form has not been consistent. There have been many injuries and inactive periods. He seems to be more aware and more nervous than before.Shouldering the hopes of billions of people is not an easy task. I think he has done enough. We will surely miss him. But one day it must happen. I think it is better for him to call it a day, when he is still playing good cricket, than to wait for his form to deteriorate.

Sachin may have been inconsistent but is still more consistent than most the other suitors who will take his place.I recently watched him play with gutso in ranji trophy, when much younger palyers are openly avoiding domestic circuits, this cricketer was enjoying in the domestic circuit. As long as he enjoys cricket, he should play & i am sure that he is best judge to decide. So if sachin feels that he is good enough for the team, who are we to argue against that ?

yeah friend its right that saching is not consistent form last few years , he has been facing many injuries and inactive periods , and its also true that the souldering the hopes of billions of people is not an easy task but I think he should play more and he can play as some where I have listened that he has told that he will play till next world cup and he will retire at that time so I think he can play at that time and he has capability of that too
