Guys its now time to take initiative to control things before it gets out of our control. As everyone acknowledges that our climate is changing rapidly, glaciers melting down, rising sea levels extended summers, floods, famines, hurricanes, tsunami and many more.... Climate fights back and we humans can't do anything to save lives both human and animals. Just imagine the scene where there is earth but no living organism, scary isn't it. And after all, we are responsible for all this so why should other living organisms should pay for our mistakes.
And now how we all can work on this, its simple by using eco-friendly things. Instead of using gasoline cars we can use EV's(electronic vehicles) and also now UN, G-8 summit has plans to encourage eco-friendly things. And the good news is just think of the opportunities that would rise by huge scale production of this kind of products huge employment opportunities and many more. It will also help us to get out of this financial turmoil.
So, I have a solution at micro level, I mean at our levels. Instead of going on cars or bikes in walkable distances we can prefer cycles or we either can walk. So, SAVE ENERGY should be our slogan. Guys I suggest to please give some ideas we can do this....also thanks for reading all this till here.

When we do talking about Global Warming it involves three (3) parties; policy maker, inventor and end user; to make it superb effective in short, medium and long term. The policy maker party has to draw out the pragmatic method of statement and enforcement policy. G-8 must give award and accolade all inventors that contribute in this area to encourage them to give out more latest innovative inventions.
G-8 is actually too much on summit meeting but less in action. Members always discussing about what to do and not how to do. After meeting, every G-8 member gone home and doing less work till another summit meeting. G-8 only summit in meeting and plummet in action. They must collaborate with all the related scientists and the inventors in giving products that 100% eco-friendly.
We are the end users, we are their end point to contribute in the form of application. We can do our medicine walking for our good health for a reasonable range of distance while going out for work, BUT, if the air that we inhale is a 'lethal' substance - no point for us to do so. So, in my opinion anyway, G-8 has to find new way to rules and governs the "Global Warming Issue".

Yes, I completely agree to you that all the member countries of G-8 mostly just do talking. In fact, they always are protectionist rather than solution oriented. And I strongly believe that the most important issue after terrorism is global warming. Governments of under developed and developing countries to effectively encourage eco-friendly inventions should also encourage patent rights.

YES deep_enjoy, you're perfectly on the nail with your great comment to my response. What I look into is most of the parties involved in Global Warming issue, they only point their aim for a title - The Nobelist. Matter-of-fact, their ideas are not much helping the core actions that can be considered as - "ACTION MUST BE TAKEN".

I am really very sorry to see that this discussion no enough response from members. Where this is only the issue which can remove all the living existance from this wonderful world.

My View- Plant trees, save yourself
In my personal study the master point to control global warming we must start mass forestry beside save energy then the slogan should be "Plant trees, save yourself". Becuase destroying our forest or trees we are growing the temperature of our wonderful world day by day. We already increase the average temperature of the world so now we should start to plant more trees and care them. This we will be able control the carbon dioxide which coming from vehicles. We should work to save us-ourselves. Have a nice world, a green world.

Hi Imran, I at the same time thank you. There are already restrictions on cutting down tries, but our industrialists are smarter, they purchase 1000's acres of land and then grow tries and cut it down. So, we also need few stringent policies. See you around buddy

I hate to do this, but.... You have no control over global warming? or is it Global cooling? The scientific facts, don't worry about them, they just get in the way.
Over 63,000 American scientist have stated, in writing, that there is no scientific information that could lead to the conclusion of man ,made global warming or that man's presents would even be considered as a factor at all.
Oh, small fact, there are more trees in the United states today than there were in the early 1900's. The current amount of co2 in the atmosphere is far less than what it has been in the past, before man, according to ice core drillings.
Also, all indicators are that the earth is in fact cooling. Why, because the sun is cooler and dimmer than in the last 50 to 100 years.
My question, are your facts based on scientific fact or theroy, or emotion(religious faith of Al Gore)?

Ha ha ha, this things are not at all emotion censured, the are real facts. And its not just America, its about the whole world. Talking about man not responsible for global warming, now that sounds unrealistic because just think of the worlds at 19th or say 18th century where man didn't burn enough fuel whereas now we burn anything we get. The fact that the carbon levels are very lower than 19th century is completely wrong. Just in a decade, approx of 1 KM glaciers of Alaska and other places have melt. And many more.....
