OK, so here I am bragging about my third child. Report cards just came and with the exception of math, she pulled all her grades up to A's. Hooray. We might need to get her a tutor in math but at least I know she's doing her very best and I'm proud of her. :-)

That's great news! We've been having issues with grades with our teen, but he's been managing to pull everything up to B's - aside from Math, which is a huge struggle for him. We're considering a tutor, as well. A lot of it is the fact that he just hates doing it (which, I can't blame him), so solving that right there would bring his grade up a bit.

My daughter is doing pre-algebra and I think she just thinks like I do. I couldn't wrap my mind around algebra either. So maybe a tutor will help. She doesn't particularly like it but she does try very hard.

Wow....Congrats for Dearra! I know it's a lot of hardwork and you're lucky to have her and vice versa! LOL! When I was in High School, I hate math....LOL! and end up majoring it when I was in College, it's tough but manage by devoting a lot of time on it! A tutor will be a great help!

I don't think all the friends in the world could have gotten me to major in math!

Congratulations! I love hearing about your children! It's so inspiring to have kids like them. I hope she gets much better as she grows up to her college years. Have you ever asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up?

Pride is what you should have. What grade is she in? Math can be very difficult for some, it has to do with how their brains work, is she a writer by any chance.

I'm very proud. She's in 7th and doing pre-algebra. I had difficulty with algebra also, so I'm sure she inherited this from me. And yes, she is a writer as a matter of fact!

You have every right to be proud of her - I know that I would be if she were my child. How old is she?

She's 12 and in 7th grade. They're doing pre-algebra, and a year earlier than I had to do it!

Excellent report and it is good to brag about our children doing well like this. She has done great and caught up well. I have to go see my two younger daughter teachers on the 16th. I am dreading to hear what she says about one of then, as I caught her wearing bright pink socks and orange makup on her face lately. She has as much interest in School at the moment than me. I really need to sort her out, as my shouting is not helping much.

HI dawnald, Congratulations! That brings back memories of getting a dollar for every A I made! It was the only incentive plan that worked, according to my mother. I find that hard to believe since I love to learn! Keep up the good work!
