Whats Up with the Digest here?

Yeah...a real great question from you because I have a valuable answer for you about good things provided by myLot computer operating system, although I am not a myLot moderator. My dear great friend, bunnybon7; MyLot provided us a superb operating system if we know how its computing system works for us in these areas; myLot digest, today's top and hot discussion. Organize your own team myLot members, let say, for 20 members. All members communicate by using IM at one particular time and ask them to get ready with their QUALITY response. You lead the way by posting new QUALITY discussion and on IM you announce to all members that you already pressed the "post new discussion" button. Meaning, you already assured with 20 responses. The first response that you received by time stamping before 8 minutes compare to to your discussion time of published, your discussion will be sorted and shifted to "today's top" discussion. While the next responses followed in sequel. Enter your QUALITY 'chaining-down' commentaries, let say for 4 commentaries to each response. Your discussion will be sorted and shifted to "hot" discussion. Finally, your discussion will be listed under myLot digest. So, your discussion will be went up to three (3) category. Your discussion could be on someone else's digest list. Did you notice that it says" Here is your daily summary of the top discussions from your myLot Interests over the last 24 hours." If you opened a discussion which was not one of your listed interests you would not see it.

i have no idea. i have never been on there either. guess we don't rate. lol

honestly i think its all the matter of timing.. i think when ever their magical cut off time is that what ever is the most popular in that interest gets it.. maybe they had more or had just been responded to right before the cutoff etc.. when you dont try to get it you usually will get it and the ones you dont think will do good are the ones that make it.. i stopped getting the digest because i went nuts trying to figure it out.. i went a few days straight getting on it every day then i went a few months not getting it with more popular discussions.. made no sense!

I actually had a discussion that was in the "today's top", but it wasn't in the Digest I got. I think you don't get your own discussion sent to you. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

Really tough to ride on mylot digest I think. I never ride on mylot digest/top discussion or hot topics because none of my discussion have more than ten response yet. I don't what is the benefit to ride on digest or top discussion and never tried to have that. It very interesting that everyone not getting same digest so, Would you please let me what actul going with? Or what is the benefit of it?

In all the digest that I get daily I have only been in one that I have seen and I was surprised I was in it. I do believe we get our digest different from others because we get it based on our interest I guess. I am sorry to hear that you were cheated out of your post being in one and that the person who copied from you was in it instead.

Actually I am not really sure how the digest works but I suspect that it might have something to do with the interests. I think you have to post it under your interests or at least the email that I get says it is a list of the top discussions in my interests in the last 24 hours. I am guessing that means for example that if you do not have any responses or only a few in that first bit of time, i.e. before the day ends then you will not get in it. I think it means if you do not post your discussion until say 7.00pm, then that gives only 5 hours for people to respond for the day. Yes you might end up with 50 responses but only 2 of them come in that initial time window and then it is a new day. This is only guess work on my part because all I know is what the email says but you could always send a pm to mLot Admin and ask them to clarify the situation. I am sure that there are more members than you who would like to know the answer to this question bunnybon. I just read the mylot daily digest with some curiosity. It does not mean that the most read and replied discussions are the most good ones. popularity does not necessarily mean quality in my opinion.

Hi bunny dear...this may sound a bit funny, but the secret to get into the digest is to forget that one exists. LOL!! I am hardly aware that it does, yet I am told that some of my discussions appeared there once. ;) Cheers and happy Mylotting

I don't know what formula they use to choose the digest. I believe it might have something to do with the topic being flagged positive by posters.

To be honest, I don't pay any attention to the digest. Early on I saw that it was the same people in it so I just delete it from my inbox each day.

Hey bunny! I have no idea what it takes to get into the digest! I have made it a few times, but I don't know why or how! Some people make it all the time just about no matter what the topic! I never heard that there is more than one digest. I don't think that is correct. I think there is only one for the day. Don't think about it and just start whatever discussion you want and just see how it goes! Like I said, I don't know how they pick them. I used to think they went by the number of responses, but I have seen that they don't do that either!

i have used everyday this one . digest is the most important in our life in this country. after taking lunch or dinner dont take water that is the good digestion technique

well, I don't have "life" or "people" as my interests so I find that my discussions get on my digest quite frequently because post into smaller interests. maybe if you weren't trying for those interests youd get on more often those daily digests are targeted to your interests after all....

Hi bunny, I've wondered that too. I was on the list one time and I know how you feel about it. Making the list should mean that you wrote a good piece and have been recognized for it. But reading what some of these people are writing is pathetic. I checked todays and yesterdays lists and many of them had only 6 responses. I would also like to know what the requirements are. Someone the other day was bragging about being on the list 8 times in several days. Why? With all the discussions posted, there must be plenty that deserve to be on the list. I will watch out for you. leenie

hello bunnybon i used to read the Mylot digest everyday that it rolled around in my e-mail inbox. but i haven't read the Mylot digest in a long time now. i do not care if my new discussions make it into the Mylot digest or not. lol i do not think that being in the Mylot digest with your new discussions earn you anymore extra money. and i have seen discussions that have made it into the Mylot digest that has only had around nine or ten responses to it. so hang in there and one of these days you will open your Mylot digest and you will see one of your new discussions on it. take care and have a beautiful evening.
