What do you think marriage is ??

Marriage is not something to be entered into lightly. It's a very serious commitment to each other. Many people think it's the happily ever after the fairy tales and movies make you believe it is. Too many think that once they got the guy or gal to marry them, they can relax and stop putting in so much effort. Yet, that's not true. You still have to put your best foot forward and keep the flame going so to speak. In essence the courtship never really ends. And there will be challenges. The commitment you make when you get married is to make the other one happy but also to work together through the challenges your marriage will face. This includes any arguments you will have with your partner. And there'll be plenty, believe me I know. Of course it's always easier to get a divorce instead of trying to work out a big problem/argument/ whatever wrinkle your marriage might have run into. That's why it's good advice to chose your spouse wisely. It's wise to think about whether one can really spend the rest of one's life with this person. And it's also important to learn to live with that person, all the quirks and bad habits. Because through your vows you will commit to love this person no matter what. You vow that you won't run for the hills as soon as the going goes tough. Don't get me wrong, marriage is sort of a happily ever after, but it's something you have to continuously work on a be committed to. It's not an automatic given thing as soon as you say "I do." Marriage is happy and fulfilling, but it's also work, just like pretty much everything else in life;)

Marriage is a sacrament... A sacred gift from God. It's being commited to the person whom u wish to be with the rest of your life... It's a new journey...facing new obstacles together w/ the person u love. It's not a game! In which you can just simply quit when u no longer want to play...

For some people losing their virginity is almost a sacred thing. Somehow, to me, marriage is the most precious gift I have to offer. To commit myself on that level... So I've turned down several who asked. They were not 'good enough' to reach that level of confidence with me. I do know love though.
