What is the worst tasting food you have ever tried? The one thing you would prefer to never have to eat again?
When I was little, my Mom made me try liver. It was disgusting, in my opinion, and ever since then, I will not try it unless I absolutely have to.

I'm really picky, and eat everything plain, so it's a major production to get me to try anything new... but a few years ago, some people persuaded me to try shrimp. I don't like seafood in general, but I have been known to eat the occasional fishstick. Now, I must state that I consider things like shrimp, crab, and lobsters to be nothing more than aquatic spiders, so getting me to stray off my food path and into the realm of insect-like food was a huge deal. We were in a restaurant, and the shrimp was served naked and meant to be dipped in butter. People were grabbing them with little forks, plunging them into a butter bath, then MMmmMmming like it was the rapture. I figured what the heck, it probably tastes like nothing more then melted butter. I tried to "taste" a fishstick dipped in butter in my mind... those two flavors didn't go together in my head, but I decided to try the shrimp anyway. I thought it would be tender and soft, and buttery. Instead, when I bit down into the shrimp, it popped. It was snappy. It was like chewing on a piece of greasy Styrofoam that had been dipped in bait. I was thoroughly grossed out. I'm never eating anything of the sort again.

I love liver especially when it's fried or grilled. I hate bittermelon. My dad had me try it when I was four and I have never eaten it since then.

Umm...a baked bulb of garlic. I was at a restaurant, and I thought they were scallops. That was a big mistake. D:
