Crazy people on here.

These things happen in real life too. We all get misunderstood & its not necessary that people always agree with our point of view. In virtual world the chances of being mis-understood is more since many emotions cannot be verbalized effectively. Humour may seem offensive to others. You will agree thet crazy mylotters do break the monotony of discussions. Read this saying from a learned one " The only person who can irritate you is U" Now would you consider me in the crazy bracket too !!!

i have seen a lot of them who seem to reply without reading and don't really get what they're trying to say because of the grammatical errors but i guess what we can do is adjust and play cool with the offensive ones ..

MyLot is a slice of life and there are all sorts on here. I have come across just about everything that I would find offline and nothing surprises me any more. I have seen it also on my own discussionns but have also tried to avoid it getting into anything heated and so far so good. Happy posting!

I get people who clearing missed what I was saying and I get people where I don't understand their responses (weak English mostly). But I rarely get angry or offensive comments, though I have seen it on other people's discussions!

I find these types of people everywhere, not just on MyLot. For me, it comes down to listening. People aren't really interested in listening. They've already made up their mind on an issue, or maybe they read a couple words and jump to an erroneous conclusion before they even finish reading the first sentence. People like this aren't so much interested in discussing an item as they are in being heard. They need to express their views, have a voice, be recognized. That they misunderstand your comment is irrelevant to them - as long as they're heard. It's very frustrating.

I have had the same problem, the main problem is that some people are rushing to post as many comments as humanly possible in order to earn a quick buck and they get angry so that people respond and they in turn get more money. I have posted many discussions to which people respond something entirely different from what I posted it can be quite infuriating at times. Happy Mylotting!

Just like everywhere else on the Net, Mylot has it's range of different characters. The world would be a boring place if we were all the same, agreed with everything everybody else said, and couldn't laugh every once in a while. After all, discussion is a debate on people's opinions... it doesn't matter how "right" we think we are in our opinion, we should always listen to others' opinions and consider them before debating them. That's what makes for good communication. So, my motto is to enjoy your time in Mylot, ignore the rude remarks or offensive responses other than to thank them for their contribution, keep control of your feelings but at the same time, air your own opinions in a sensible and unoffensive way. Laugh and the world laughs with you; cry and you cry alone, is a saying that's very true. Those who react to offensive remarks in an unintelligent way, only seek more problems, so I tend to relax in the good atmosphere that Mylot creates and walk away from the darker areas. I've been here too long and seen too much happen to spend my life worrying about it. There are other things in life I can turn to to cheer my day when I'm feeling blue. Brightest Blessings.

Those people are here for the wrong reasons. And they are just hatring and being rude because what they are looking for they cannot find. When I respond to people it is only for opinions only. Also there are people who have to be hateful just to make their day go smoothly. And yes you are right those people are crazy

you are so right. i have posted alot of things that got turn around to be something else. but dont get discouraged and keep posting.the good always out weighs the bad

There are all kinds of people here like anywhere else in the world. But I have not come across anyone posting out of line or off topic so far...They may argue passionately and put forth their views but that is natural when one gets involved and sometimes get carried away in an argument.We need to be mature about such things and we cannot expect everybody to always agree with us and talk only about things that we consider right or appropriate - like they say 'One dogs meat is another dogs poison (I hope I got that right)

I have only came across one person like that. I replied explaining he read it wrong. He didn't reply back so i guess he realized he mixed it up. I didn't get no other post under that topic. I think his response may others turn it away. Maybe or maybe not.

Hi there Lore, Welcome to Mylot! There are all kinds of strange people here as you've already seen. Because we're all sitting here with relative anonymity behind a computer screen it's hard to tell whether the person truly does not understand your posting or is trying to be funny, or is trying to get a rise out of you, or just what their motivation might be. Just keep post and have fun with it. Take what you like and leave the rest. If something, is nonsense, or as an attack I just move on to the next comment. Those that are here to cause trouble will quickly move on elsewhere if they don't get any response. And happy Mylotting!
