I use to use their soap, but after this , I will definitely bring my own from now on. It is just like when I go to a hotel with girlfriends and we all use the same soap! Now I am totally grossed out!

Plus my children and I have special soap that we have to use for our dry skin plus to me sharing soap is like sharing a toothbrush. To me

That is so gross. I bring my own everything. Including towels and washcloths. I do not like to assume that they have enough to share with me anyway. Now, take a moment to think of the soapy scum that dries on the soap. Can we all say, iiiilllll.

What has been my experience, when I have visited friends and when I have guests, I alway give them a new bar of soap, along with clean towels and a washcloth. I wouldn't have thought they have their own or expect them to just use what's there.

I do not use bar soap, it makes me itch. I usually bring my own body wash. In fact, I know very few people who use bar soap anymore. They say it is just more sanitary to use pump soap.

Any time I travel, I bring my own body wash or shower gel. I like it much better than bar soap and, especially when staying in someone's home, I find it easier to keep tidy. Growing up, my mom only allowed one bar of soap to be used by the family until it was almost completely gone. Then again, she made us only apply the soap to the washcloth and not rub the bar anywhere on the body... and we always started each bath with a fresh cloth.

i always always bring and use my own soap. when i still lived with my mom, she used to require all of us to have individual bars. now that i live with my husband's family, i still have the same habit despite the fact that they have one bar for all. so when i visit friends, i definitely bring my own

My husband is very particular about this kind of things, so we would usually bring our own facial/hand soaps. As to taking a shower, if it's from a bottle like shower foam or gel, we are okay with that, but not soaps, unless it's new (hasn't been unwrapped yet).
