I must be losing my marbles!

Okay, no wisecracks about how I lost all my marbles years ago This morning I saw a comment on one of my discussions that didn't really fit with the discussion going on between myself and another user. And, seeing as it was rather odd I thought I'd go back and answer it after I finished answering the current comments. Then I got distracted by household stuff and forgot all about it for a few hours. When I did remember it and went back to reply to it, it was gone!
Now, I have had discussions disappear on here, but never have I seen a single comment do that. Am I losing it? Has this ever happened to any of you on the lot?

Well there are a lot of marbles rolling about loose on here later so if you find some, make sure you check ther really are yours before you pick 'em up!
Yes I have had comments deleted on my discussions too.
There is some myth that only whole discussions get deleted but as many of us are becoming aware, anything if not right could go, even only a single comment, while the rest would be left intact

I have never had that happen, but I have children I feel like
you do right now everyday, except it is not online it is offline
happening to me in my own house.....lol
With teenagers you feel like you lost your marbles daily.
I am just trying to find out how do I find them and where did I lose themto begin with.
lol

Yes this has happened to me three or four times actually. The last time was just before I stated I'd be MIA for awhile. What happened was I answered a post and the person starting it (Nobody from my friends list) made the comment that I must have goggled the answer because even he didn't know the answer. Keep in mind he was like 20 years old. Didn't take me long to ask him that just because he didn't know the answer did it mean I wasn't smart enough to know anything. Well as fast as I could post poof it was gone. It got deleted that's what happened.

I have only posted 2 discussions and the first got a few responses and this one tonight nothing. It is a topic I have had severl discussions on other sites about and I figures mylotters would jump on it. Shows you what I know. I look at some of the topics that get alot of responses and can't believe the amount of responses they get for something really simple. Go figure. Maybe I should just stay with the reply's.

Yes it is a good thing to have that way we can do something about people that do not read what we are typing before they respond

If this is the same "user" I'm thinking about, then I fear that with their response being deleted because it crossed the guidelines, then yours has probably gone as well. In fact, it's very likely that this "user" took your name with a slight change to it and got your discussion deleted purposely as this is what they've been doing. It's very confusing when somebody can do that, and irritating, to say the least but steps have been taken to put a stop to this "user's" misdoings and I fear you may have been caught up in the net. I hope that's all it is... and no, you're not losing your marbles. :)
Brightest Blessings.

I have seen that happen on the lot where a comment is removed from a discussion and that means that people were either reporting that it wasn't going with the topic of discussion or that mylot itself noticed this and removed the reponse so no you are not going insane trust me on this one. It happens.

Well, if it was outta line, and enough mylotters reported, it, then it was deleted. Yes, I have seen that before. That's all I can think of that happened. Just to make sure you aren't losing your marbles, though, find someone else who saw the post besdies yourself.

It happens to me sometimes .I get distracted and leave the computer sometimes my server has an error and the computer will shut it self down.So you are as sane as the rest of us not to good is it.It really gets me mad when the error report comes up as I have just finished a good long response and it disappears and I cannot remember who it was and the email disappears as well.

Maybe a moderator saw the comment, realized it was out of place and removed it. I'm pretty new to myLot, but I hear that this happens from time to time. Also, sometimes language barriers have a way of making conversations take a turn that no one ever intended.

SATA, satan... they're only one letter different. It sounds like the person simply didn't read the previous posts in the discussions and though your were talking about satan instead of SATA, honest mistake, lol. That goes to show how important it is to read the discussions BEFORE you post.

Looks for Peter Pans phone number so he can bring the lost marbles back for fwidman and others like he brought back for tuttles. Dang where is that number.
Just kidding. Is the person that wrote the comment still a mylot member or did mylot delete them and everything that they responded to. I have had a couple of them a year ago happen that way.

I have the issue of seeing something whether online or offline and I could have swore I saw it but when I go back it is not there. Just recently I was looking at this car that I wanted to buy. I could have swore I seen an emblem on the back of it that said Nova. So when I get home I am searching all over the internet for a 2006 Nova that looks just like the car I wanted to buy. I wanted to check the actual value of the thing. Well anyways, I take my ex husband down to look at it so he could check it over and do all the male stuff, and guess what the Nova emblem is gone and in it's place is an emblem that says Versa. I could have swore the Nova was on it.
This is not the only instance where I seen things one way and they later turned out to be something else. LOL but hey I have a house full of kids, so only natural my marbles have left.

Hmm.. it might be not only because of that comment. Was the discussion against mylot guidelines?
I could relate to you because I actually opened a discussion and it was entitled 'would you prefer to marry a virgin? or not?' it hasn't violated anything on the guideline. People even commented there properly without profanity or something like that but suddenly after a few days, I realized that the discussion was gone!
I don't know about how they do things in mylot, but it's just sad that they'd delete something that isn't really doing any harm while they just keep those which cause a lot of problems and arguments.

Mmm No in one word, sometimes I will leave a response halfway and go and do something but the response has always been there when I got back..though another thing happens to me frequently with others when I try to respond to them half way through the sentence it disappears!! It is like the computer doesn't want me to reply to the person! Very strange...so you are not losing your marbles!!...littleowl

Hey fwidman! There have been so many strange things happening
on mylot lately that nothing surprises me anymore! There have
been imposters posting on discussions and that may explain
a disappearing post! I have lost points and cents this month
more than usual and can't explain it and I didn't even start
a discussion! So it isn't you! There are stranger things
going on here that no one can explain or keep track of!
