Bitter cooking chocolate

Has anyone been tricked into thinking bitter baking chocolate was dark chocolate only to find out (not too happily) that it was not?

No :) However, when I was little, I once ate a big piece of what looked like a chocolate bar, only to be told later that it was a bar of "EX-Lax" (a laxative). I don't think they make "Ex-Lax" anymore, and if they do, I bet it no longer comes in chocolate-bar form just because of incidents like mine!
