Not saying you need to start digging in your trash as that might result in you being straight jacketed and carted off to a mental asylum. The reason I am saying this is that two men in Pendelton found about 100 hundred thousand dollars and called the police ?The police have speculated that it could be drug money.
So will you start searching your trash or at least paying more attention when you see trash. What would you have done especially in this harsh financial climate

i really enjoyed my years running the antique store. it was alot of hard work plus i had my beauty shop & antique store together, kept me pretty busy but i enjoyed both of them.

I always look in trash , I have found some great things. tvs and such. I never found money though. The situation I am in right now I do not know if I would have called the police, maybe kept half and called or something. I know it would be wrong, but I have bills and kids.

I really dont look in trash. Its trash for a reason, whatever reason that is. Im not sure, but if I happen to run across a box full of money like the people did in Indiana I heard about yesterday, I think Id turn it in. I dunno if its the same story youre referring to, but there were these men, like 4 or 5 of them working who came across a box that had money in it. Well, they turned it in I guess cause 1 said it wasnt worth losing his job over if they didnt, so good for him. They didnt even get a reward either, which sux. They shouldve been compensated somehow for their honesty and morality, especially in this recession we're in. Oh well. Good for them though for doing the right thing.

I really don't ever look in trash either unless I'm looking for something important and suspect my 2 year old tossed it..I absolutely hate having to look through trash..it's so gross..anyway..good for them for their honesty but I agree they should've been rewarded for their honesty..

"So I was looking through the trash, Officer, and I found this money. Fifty thousand dollars! Can you imagine that? Yes, I know it's really honest of me to turn it in. It wouldn't be right to keep 50,000 dollars..."

I don't know if I'd search through trash, but it does sound like it worked out for these guys. My mother and her boyfriend visit their local dump regularly because they find things to sell there. It's kind of weird, but it works for them. Who knows, maybe they'll find money while they're there!

i would have called the police aswell. its a very large amount of money and if u were caught with it somehow it could get u into alot of trouble. and u never know u may be rewarded for turning it in. especially if they dont find out how it got there
