You hear all sorts of rules about job interviews: - People decide about you in the first 10 seconds - You have to make a good first impression - Always ask insightful questions - Learn as much as you can about the company What else do you suggest for job hunters?

Dress a step above the expected, but not a tuxedo. Ask company related questions first, then personal second. Refer to your interests outside of work, for instance ways to be able to connect with your co-workers outside of the office. I have some others saved on my home computer, will be happy to send it to you. It's advice given to me by a former boss of mine in HR.

Be prepared for these 3 question: 1) 3 reasons why we should hire you. 2) where do you see yourself after 5/10 years. ( make sure that you mention their company in your goals) 3) expected salary Enter the room with a smile, this is not as easy as it sounds. Keep your hands on your knees so that your nervousness is not advertized. Prepare a folder with photographs of your accomplishments. all the best.

Before the interview, I try to get to know what the other people working there are like as much as possible. The last thing I want to do is walk in to place dressed up too much, or dressed down too much. I also try to figure out what will be asked of me so I can prepare answers ahead of time. I also make sure to list at least ten questions to ask during the interview, too, so the employer knows I'm truly interested in the job. I carry an extra copy of my resume and references with me to refer to during the interview, or to provide to the employer incase they misplaced their copies (this has happened to me many times and they're always very appreciative). I also make sure to eat, drink, and use the restroom prior to the interview so I'm comfortable and my stomach isn't growling!

It is difficult when there are alot of good candidates for a job. I think you hsould always dress your best even if you have to go out and buy an entirely new outfit for your job interview. I once was not getting jobs so I bought a new suit to interview in and got the next job I interviewed for. it helps alot.
