planninf to take a german shepherd dog

I have NO idea where you would go to get a German Shepherd in your country!!! I will warn you that those dogs are prone to have Hip Dysplasia. You really need to have the dog x-rayed when you first get it to make sure it is healthy!!! He was protective like a Shepherd yet sweet & gentle like the Retriever. He was extremely loving to me & still protected me with a fierceness that kept strangers away!!! I ended up having to have him put to sleep because the Dysplasia crippled him so bad he couldn't walk, yet he tried to follow me everywhere I went. He was dragging the skin off his hind legs. Broke my heart. He was, by far, the BEST dog I ever had!!!

Please do not buy an American bred GSD as they are mostly bred for commercial purposes only. Buy a true GSD from Germany bred by a professional and caring GSD breeder. These breeders evaluate Sire and Dam based on strict German standards. As a result you get a temperamentally well balanced and a very healthy dog. Usually they cost between $1,500 to $3,000 but well worth it. Hope this helps.
