How do you feel about eating seafood, especially clams, oysters, lobster, and shrimp, and crab? Do you worry at all about the the fact that these creatures clean toxic waste from the water, and the toxins they take in are the toxins people eat when they consume this type of seafood?
I personally like the taste of crab, lobster, and shrimp, but I've given up eating them, because of their toxicity. What about you?
Do you know anyone who has become ill after eating seafood?
Does it go against your belief system to eat this type of seafood?
Do you avoid eating this type of seafood, and why?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've learned is that the seafood like oysters take the sea water in and retain the toxins. They are like filters for the sea. They clean up the muck and that's their purpose. Therefore, the toxins they take in become part of their flesh. In fact, the way the toxic levels of the ocean are measure is by measuring the amount of toxins in the seafood.

One of my favorite things to do for a special meal is to go down to the bay, only three miles from my office, and get shrimp that came out of the Gulf of Mexico that morning, take it home and prepare pepper shrimp for the family. But we have not done so since Ike came through and stirred things up so much. It may be a few more months before I am brave enough to do so.
