I'm not sure where it came from, but my son asked me today what I would choose.
I think if I could only eat one thing it would have to be lasagna. That's my favourite! I originally said Roast beef with all the trimmings but was told that wasn't allowed as it was more than one thing i always thought lasagna was more than one thing too but who am I to argue!
So if you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life.... what would it be?

Pepperoni because it's the easiest to pick off if I'm in the mood for plain cheese. :-)

I love my wife's lasagna. I could live on that for a long time. What I mainly live on if I have to have something and no meal is made is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with a glass of milk. I probably have eaten about 200 in the last year. Could I live on them forever? Probably.

Hmmm...if I were to only allowed to eat one thing in my life, I'd probably have to choose carefully. Since I'd be restricted to one thing, I could possibly die of a nutrient deficiency or get colon cancer if I, say, picked steak. Therefore, I would pick...
pizza
it has all four food groups. :D

I don't think my son was really thinking about nutritional value when he asked the question.

Bread is common in our place. we take it with a combination of vriety of food. We need it in every breakfast, lunch and dinner. we work hard to earn the money to provide us and our family flour for bread. bread is an important food we can like to eat in the rest of our life.

i love lasagna. it is one of my favorite things in the whole world and i could absolutely eat it everyday and still love it just as much. i cannot get enough of it. my son and husband love it too but we do not have it that often because it is such a pain to make and the ingredients, mozzarella and ricotta are generally very expensive. so for us it is not an economical meal and not to mention quite fattening as well! but i still love it anyway. it is even better left over the next day. and it is good cold too. i just do not like any meat in it nor does my son.

Hi ya mummyofthree
CHOCOLATE!! It would have to be chocolate!! Sorry did you mean like a proper meal? LOL Well then I would have to say a nice bit of well battered fish, with some delicious powdery potatoed chips with garden peas and a wedge of lemon oh and don't forget the tartar sauce!! Or maybe it would have to a Cornish pasty from Philps in Cornwall or it might be apple pie with clotted cream, ooooh I dunno one of those anyway OR all of them if you will let me!!

What a thought. Why would we be able to eat only one thing for the rest of our lives? Anyway if and onlyu if it was a must, i woudl settle for potatoes. This is one thing which never goes out of fashion or flavour. All other vegetables are seasonal, but potatoes continue all year round.

I'm inclined to wonder what your son would go for. For myself, if I had to eat only one thing for the rest of my life, it would be potatoes. I love potatoes, and you can have various versions of it - mashed, baked, roasted, french fried. Obviously, I would also be hoping that my body would magically thrive on it, be able to get all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals out of it, and that it would keep my at my ideal weight forever. Is that too much to ask?

That's a difficult question. I'm sure if I'd eat only one thing for the rest of my life after a while I'd hate it. I couldn't live with pizza everyday =D Even if I crave it all the time, I like the idea of potatoes, there are so many ways to cook them =D Or maybe eat seafood for the rest of my life =D Not a bad idea.

It would be Sinigang. It's a Filipino dish which I really love.Though most of my American friends would go for Adobo instead.hahaha..The sourness gives a very distinct flavor and it's very nutritious. So I think you guys should try it!;)
