Why is it that people always say money isnt happiness but when they always have a large sum of money they are happy are excited i dont get it. they are basically hypocrites i personally think that money is happiness i mean how could it not be. you have money and you can buy stuff that makes you hppy so in a way money is happiness.
its confusing.

I believed money helps in many ways and certainly it can bring happiness to those who are struggling with certain needs. Money helps in alleviating the problems associated with poverty by making life less about day to day survival. But I can see that more money does not necessarily lead to greater happiness because once those survival needs are met, the higher levels of needs come into play. The presence of money could make a profound difference in one's life... Has anyone else been tempted to promise GOD that if we win lottery we'll do ... (fill in the blank)?

Yes it is true that when you have lots of money you can buy anything you want, sometimes even the happiness of others. Each and everyone of us have our own perception on how money affects our life, most likely I say that this depends on our lifestyle. To others they are satisfied with a little of it, others just enough, others more than enough but for others they need so much.Sure money is a part of our living for without it our economic living would not be possible, we need it to purchase and acquire our needs, but let us face the fact that having it is just a part of our living, there are still other aspects for us to be able to live a happy life. For all readers out there, you may pay less attention to our social life but not to your spiritual life. For all our wealth would pass but not with our spiritual relationship with GOD. Real happiness for me is having a healthty relationship with the LORD.

I for one welcome the problems that may arise with having money. I am certainly used to not having it and I find no happiness in that. I think if my finances were much stronger I 'd be happier nowadays. I still think there are problems associated with money but there are a lot more when you are broke!
I challenge those who say money cant buy you happiness to give all your money to a poor family and see the joy on their faces! Feed a man who hasn't eaten in days and can't afford a meal and see how happy he will become. I'd love those problems money brings. I'd love to try them out for a change because being broke is not making me happy at all.

Money can't always keep for mind & heart happy, but it can bring you financial freedom. :)

Being someone who's never really had much money, believe me I'd be MUCH happier if I did have it! At the same time though, money can also CREATE as many problems as it solves, such as the jealousy and envy it can create in those around you who don't have what you have. Me personally, I'll take the jealousy any day of the week, long as I don't have to worry anymore about how I'm gonna pay my bills! LOL
