I haven't read too many books in quite a while. And ever since I started going on line I usually find information here that I need but sometimes I just miss a good fiction book. Does anyone still have time to sit and read a good book or have you become a slave to the internet?

Once upon time I had a friend saying that he was reading a comic book online that may be off now as he said just 8 years ago. That time I was doing some computer courses after my degree. I never visit that site he is also gone some abroad i did'nt have his mail id and contact information but still there are some funny websites they were providing comic stories. When ever I saw them I'll remembering him always after I saw your discussion i got his rememberance again. Thanks. happy lotting.

nope I don't read that many books anymore either, I just serf the net, I do read the articles that are sent to me for my e-zine though, so I do get to write short stories, and of course I read to research to write my own stories and articles.

I also have not given up reading, using both soft- and hard-copy. Mainly I use the internet for quick research and mylot (and email of course) and when I am really getting into a subject, I buy books and magazines. But for fiction, I never could get into reading on the net (except maybe for some adult material I just picked up a discounted copy of Dante's Purgatorio - I remember reading the Inferno and Paradiso years ago - though I would actually have to read them again to talk about them.

There's always time to read a good book. Maybe not all in one sitting anymore... While one is waiting for food to cook (which is a good way to burn it), while eating breakfast or another meal, when family is watching a movie you've seen before, when you're supposed to be asleep but sneak out to finish a few pages more...

Yes I still spend time reading physical books although by most people's standards, I'm almost living on Internet 24/7. However, now I am only averaging maximum 5-6 novels per year, more magazines and newspaper. I also read ebook on my smartphone, above 10 books per year, I guess. I usually read before I go to sleep (it makes my eyes tired and easier for me to fall asleep).

I will admit since trying to make money online I rarely have time to get to do the things I enjoy which is reading books and watching my favorites shows on television. I am a slave of chasing the next cent..

Even though I'm on the internet every day nearly, I haven't given up reading. Still read a couple of hundred or so books every year.

My fiance and I try to read more then we stay online. Right now we're reading a book by Willie Nelson, fiction, about a texas ranger, indians, outlaws, cowboys and horses. It's a great book so far. In any case, The internet hasn't made me a slave yet, and I don't intend on it doing that either.
