I was looking through a book recently called "Who Owns the World" and one section of it was about the world's biggest landowner, that individual or entity that legally owns the largest amount of land in the world. I actually got this right with my second guess, but it was a lucky guess really, and the answer was more than a little surprising - given the amount of land legally owned.
Can you guess the landowner?

Ok, so now that we know the answer to who, what about the land itself? Just how much real estate are we talking about here? Is it only in England?

Legally (although probably not practically) she owns 1/7 of the total land area of the world, if you include Antarctica. She owns 100% of the UK, plus many other countries such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and probably the other 28 countries of which she's the crowned monarch.
I seriously doubt she'd get anywhere if she tried to actually enforce that ownership though.
