One of the exciting parts of the Twilight sequel is having Director Chris Weitz. Summit entertainment finally got him and agreed to make the New Moon which will start shooting on March and will be shown worldwide on November 2009, a year after Twilight surprised the world with its powerful box office success.
Director Chris Weitz is best known for his work with his brother Paul in "American Pie" "The Golden Compass" and "About a Boy" where he earned an Oscar Award nomination in the Best Adaptation category, he is a passionate filmmaker born in New York where he graduated an English degree at the prestigious Trinity College in Cambridge.
When he watched Twilight last November, it was being reported that the young handsome 38 year-old filmmaker and producer was "hungry" for more scenes and that he was quoted saying that Twilight is a fantastic story. Author Stephenie Meyer said that Chris Weitz declared to make New Moon closer to the book version.
So I guess Twilight fans will not be disappointed with New Moon anymore as the new director will be working much on the version based exactly on the book.

i don't know bout this new director, i've been skeptical ever since i've heard the news about chris weitz directing new moon
i haven't seen his movie in "about a boy" but i don't like his adaptation of "golden compass"
i think golden compass is lack with lots of things when i saw it compare to books
therefore i'm not so sure about new moon
but i try to be open minded though
