So my first daughter was in daycare so I only had to give her a nap in the evening when she got home. Well I am doing the stay at home mom thing and obviously with a two year old they get one nap a day but I have a three month old now also and I don't know when I am supposed to put her down for a nap or how many times a day. Does anybody have any advice on how many times or what times??

Hey, I have a 2 year old, almost three, and a one year old. my daughter is one and she took a lot of naps for the first four months. I dont think I ever even had to put her down for a nap. I think its feed and then nap, so every few hours I guess. I just did what she wanted. My son he's the almost three year would take naps just like my daughter in the begining. So for three months my kids napped, and it was quite all the time. Now forget it, neither one wants a nap. The whole nap thing you should play by ear, each kid is different. But one thing, dont let them nap after 5pm....then its crazy the rest of the night, they wont sleep. Well mine dont anyway. I hope that helped.

Maybe I will do the play it by ear thing and yah my two year old doesn't like naps either but I at least make her lay in bed (usually while she talks and sings to herself lol)..I'll just play it by ear with the three month old I guess but how do you keep them up after 5? My three month old wants to take another nap around 7. Maybe I should harass her a little to keep her awake.

Currently I have a two year old, a one year old and a three month old. My two year old gets one nap around one. My one year old still takes two. One at about 9 and one at one. My three month old I kind of play it by ear. It seems he needs about 4 naps. His usually are at about 9, 12, 4, and a short one around 6. He goes to bed around 9:30 or so. All of my kids wake up at about 6:30. It depends really on the child though. My daughter has always needed more sleep than my oldest did at her age. She would still sleep more than she does, I think, except they share a room and he wakes her up when he gets up.

See mine sleep until 9 so maybe I should try around 11 or 12 and 3 or 4 but then usually she wants to take another nap around seven but mine don't usually go to be until almost ten so maybe I should just keep playing it by ear lol.
