Who here agrees with this statement? As I've gotten older I have noticed that the situations and characters that I've met in my life just tend to get weirder and weirder. Maybe it's just because the way my mindset is nowadays but sometimes the situations that I get into are just so weird or peculiar that I have to sit back and take it all in. Sometimes they are funny sometimes they can be awkward but either way life is weird in a way that is both good and bad.

I remember especially as a teenager that I couldn't wait to become an adult, because I did not see my parents or their friends being hassled by peers. I figured once I turned 18 and started college I wouldn't have to put up with high school students or their antics anymore.
My first college attempt was all right. College students act a lot different than high school ones, and there was no hassle. However once in a while an older person would be annoyed at me for no reason, or act rude when all I was doing is, for one example, having a car break down at a gas station. I called for assistance, and the owners kept on me telling me to move it off the lot. I tried by myself, but the thing wouldn't budge. A customer flat out told me, No, he will not help me - I didn't ask for it, I was doing all I can to move it, and he just flat out tells me this.
Finally I went back to college for an associates degree and by the age of 30 I graduated, got a real job. I thought I would finally not have to deal with these kinds of issues.
Moved back to California in my forties. Between then I was in Colorado Springs (very civilized drivers there) and then Florida. Florida had the same driving issues, tail gating and the like, but no hassles from anyone.
Now I'm back in California, been here for the longest one-time stay, over ten years. First month someone tried to run me down deliberately in a parking lot, punks roam the streets doing their best to terrorize communities (I wrote about some incidents that happen to me personally in previous posts) -
And then I saw and then read, "The Secret." Basically it is the theory that one attracts things by thoughts - if your thoughts are on how good life is, life will be good to you. If you harbor thoughts on how everyone is out to get you, you get what you think.
Now when I look back, I can see how this is true. As an adolescent wishing the bullies would go away, that others would be more tolerant when I was young adult, how the world has gone to hell now that I'm a cranky old man ...
... when all I had to do was be like in my thirties, contented with my job and the world, and my life. If something is off, it is my responsibility to change.

well, time changes and people changes too, you have to fit the reality yourself, maybe it's because all changes but you do not change with them.then the world becomes strange to you.I know the world is not the world of yesterday,we just have to keep pace with it,be more open and accept the changes or you will out of mood in your daily life
Good luck
