I was reading something about the concept of time and found it very intriguing to learn about how time is concieved with metaphors. Live for today. The morning went by. How far is it to your wedding ? It seems difficult to conceptualize time without using metaphors. This one has me confused. Time flies Or is it that time stands still and i am on the move. and so did this quote Men talk of killing time, while time quietly kills them. ~Dion Boucicault How are you looking at the concept of time ?

Time flies by and time gallops. We do not come to know how soon it has passed. The hands of clocks keep ticking every second, every minute and time passes. As I started writing the response and when I would finish it, few minutes of precious time would have elapsed. Passed phase of time never comes back. It is we, who have to run along with the time and synch our activities to achieve our goals.

Yes. Deepak. I like the way you have put it across. And it is reinforcing what i read, that it's difficult to conceptualise time without the use of metaphors. Thanks.

Metaphores do help in understanding the concept, I agree with you.

Oh, the concept of time. I try to take it one day at a time but it does not hurt to plan for the future. I always enjoyed this line from Kung Fu Panda: Yesterday was history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why they call it the present."

Yes, I enjoyed that line as well. "One day at a time. "-Another metaphor that we use to relate to time. Thanks
