The star or Twinkle, Twinkle, Little star by Jane Taylor, 1806 Twinkle, twinkle little star, How I wonder ? What you are. Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky. When the blazzing son is gone, When he nothing shines upon, Then you show your little light, Twinkle, twinkle, all the night. Then the developer in the dark, Thanks you for your tiny sparks, He could not see which way to go, If you did not twinkle so. In the dark ble sky you keep, And often through my curtain peep, For you never shut your eyes, Till the sun is in the sky. Tis your bright and tiny spark, Light the travellers in the dark, Tho, i know not what you are, Twinkle, twinkle, little star.

Hi there Josvinod and welcome to Mylot! Thank you for sharing this. I think that a lot of people are familiar with the first verse of this poem but, if there like me do not know that there are four other vs. to go along with it. It amazes me sometimes how things get passed on through the generations from person to person and overtime it gets changed or things get dropped. Again welcome to Mylot and happy posting!
