I think that I might like to renew my wedding vows sometime. I have been married for almost five years now. Any wives out there that would like to carry on a tradition like renewing the vows?

I have been married for 21 yrs and have been thinking for our 25th it would be nice to take my kids and their families to a nice warm location and my husband and I renew our vows on the beach. I think that it is a nice tradition.

I think this is a great idea. I would love to renew my vows again once my sons are all grown up. That would definitely be a memorable event, knowing that the entire family is there and they are able to witness such a blessed event. Many blessings with your plans.

Any day for me, it would definitely be great fun. Here in India we have some communities where people actually renew the vows on their fiftieth anniversary. They go the entire length, starting from the actual marriage to colourful clothes to inviting people, just as they had on their wedding day. Its not really a party for fun, but a rather solemn affair which everybody, including the grandchildren, enjoy very much. And its so nice to see the elderly couple all decked up and smiling shyly at each other. I plan to do something with my hubby but it’s a long wait…we’ll complete only 12 yrs this April. Maybe I’ll prepone it to our silver anniversary.

I would love to renew my vows. Was supposed to when we had our 10th anniversary but wasn't able to at the time then again on our 15th anniversary and again our plans was messed up so I am shooting for our 20th and this time I am hoping that it will happen. I have 2 more years though..So I am hoping that a well planned and thought out one will work.

I think it is beautiful, only I am divorced, the marriage never lasted long enough to renew.

My husband and I have been talking about doing that. When we got married we were 21 and neither one of us wanted to stand up in front of a crowd and get married. We both are shy. So we just went to a justice of the peace and got married with our immediate family there. I would love to renew our vows for 10th anniversary which is in two years. I would love to wear a wedding dress and get married on the beach.

I've been married going on 8 years this year and I would love to renew our vows. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that we were young and of course, as with anyone, with time we change. It would be great to hear the new vows that we will write and relive the moment all over again. I can't even believe that it's going to be 8 years already. Time has flown by so quickly, yet it feels like yesterday! I would love to do at least by our tenth anniversary and then continue on, every ten years or so. I think that it is a beautiful thing to maintain tradition, but I also believe it is beautiful to recognize the milestone in a marriage by doing this. Renewing the vows is like symbolizing the love shared between the married couple and the growth cycle that has occurred with time. Love is truly everlasting and unconditional. Good luck to you and may you enjoy many more years with your spouse!

After 50 years I think this would be fun, I'd change the words first. Like sharing the computer equally, use of the car, what chores are done by whom, respect for what the other does. Who will manage the bills and the money, who will talk to the kids etc.
