Ever ask yourself that question, besides He came to die for our sins?Jesus came as a MESSENGER of the gouvernment or kingdom of His Father ..God. Did he take part in the politics or wars of this world? Absolutely not!
When he was brought up before Pontius Pilate to be judged..he said that HIS KINGDOM was not of this world,my servants would fight, so that I should not be deliverd to the Jews; but now MY kingdom is not from here..John 18:36
So what did he mean? He meant that ONLY GOD has the right to wage war!Jesus taught that God doesn't choose to have His children wage war for Him during this age.
Jesus said that his servants would fight IF his kingdom was of this world. But it wasn't.
rought theapostle James, God showed that war is a result from a type of spirit exactly the opposite of what He wants His servants to have."Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for your pleasure that war in your members? You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. James 4: 1-2
When God establishes His kingdom on Earth, He alone will wage war against the rebellious nations to punish them..and as for the peoples of the world.."Nation shall not lift the sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore"Isn't it true that war teaches to learn to HATE & KILL? Yound men no longer be forced to learn an attitude that is diametrically opposed to the rule of the God of love.
Eisenhower without realizing that the only government of God, is based on His laws and will solve the problems and men and nations when he said the following: " Man's hope for world peace does not rest in opposing armed camps, but in an idea. That idea is the concept of a rule of law as the meanings of settling diputes among sovering states"When Dr. Harry Emerson Fosdick, an American clergyman, spoke these words before the League of Nations:" We cannot reconcile Jesus Christ and war--that is the essence of the matter. That is the challenge which today should stir the conscience of Christendom. War is th emost colossal and ruinous unchristian, in its total method and effect it means everythng that Jesis did not mean and it means nothing that He did mean; it is a more blatant denial of every Christian doctrin about God and man than all the theroretical atheists on earth ever could devise. It would be worthwihile, would it not, to see the Christian Church claim as he won this greatest moral issue of our time, to see he lift once more as in the our fahtres'days, a clear standard against the paganism of this prestnt world and, refusing to hold her conscience at the beck and call of belligerent states, put the kingdome of God above nationalism and callthe world topeace. That would not be the denial of patroitism but its apotheosis."The essence of the matter is that Jesus is AGAINST the spriti of murder in evry form. Against war-- and someday He will put an end ot it forever! The Great Father of Jesus, the Almight God, who governs the univers from His throne in heaven, that God thunders at an age of violence and rebellion: " YOU SHALL NOT MURDER."Look at the world at the moment and since the begining of time..Wars..man always lusting for something that isn't his, lusting for more with no concience of who he murders to get it.
The leaders of these wars will have a huge price to pay and soon when Jesus returns..they will pay the price.
