hi there can you tell does complexion matters in ones life.actually i have seen this that one of my cousin sister who is little wheatish in colour keeps saying all the time that i am unlucky just beacuse i am not fair like others.she feels sad on this part and feels neglected.do you think that just because of colour complexion women donot get a match for themselves and become under confident.i have seen in my country that women with dark colour are often told to dress up in a certain manner and wear only those colours which suits them not light colours like pink, red or green just because it will not look good on them and its meant for those who are fair in complexion.donot they have the right to wear what they like to?

I will never understand why people are concerned over something that they have absolutely no control over - namely physical characteristics. Yet the one thing they can control and improve upon, their character, they tend to make a total mess.
It is not the color of your skin that makes you beautiful. People who learn this valuable lesson are the most beautiful people in the world. Freedom of choice should be a right for all citizens of a country.
It seems ridiculous to have this conversation in reference to colors and fashion. Shame on you Australia.

Shame on India, shame on any country that has such a practice. Is this racism mostly in northern India? I visited India and in Southern India it seems the majority of the population is sun-kissed.
I am American, so I know, first-hand, just how racism can divide a country.
