I just dont understand, what is it about flowers that people love? yes there good looking but i dont get it, they last a few days and die for the money you spend on flowers you could buy something usefull. I would rather have a nice meal or something more solid that will last. Am i materialistic? Am I un-sensitive?

I don't think its the flowers themselves. For me it's more of what they stand for. That someone was thinking about me and put the time, money and effort into doing something nice. yes a nice dinner would be about the same, but I think that's more of something that a girl would do for a guy because guys wouldn't want flowers.

I think more than anything it is the thought behind the flowers that count. Yes, flowers die, but for someone to think about you enough to go out and buy you some beautiful flowers just to say I love you and appreciate you is an awesome thing. it's definitely the thought behind it, so remember that the next time you get flowers. God bless
