UK shooting at UFO's - This is crazy!

I just saw this on Fox news and it tripped me out: Raf pilots in the UK have tried to Blast UFO's out of the sky under a top secret Government directive it was claimed last night. Nick Pope - who worked on the Ministry of Defence's UFO desk for 3 years - reveled the rules of engagement for the first time He claimed RAF pilots had fired at UFO's on several occasions - but faild th bring them down. He added: "we know of cases where the order has been given th shoot down - with little effect to the UFO." Mr. Pope said the rules of engagement were drawn up after dozens of close encounters with suspect craft in British airspace. RAF attacks on UFOs were "not automatic but happen when something in our airspace is deemed to be a threat." [b]I have always thought UFOs may be true but I can not say if this is true or not. But if it is - Should we be shooting at something that obviously has more technology than us. That seems crazy! Seems like the UK is risking life on our planet - They may need to get some more council before they do that again - Here are my Questions: Do you believe this is true? If so do your think it is wist to shoot at them?[/b]
