I dont think so, the basic package doesn't come with all the movie channels and thats one of the main reasons I would get it. My old flatmate had it when I lived there, and I just used to watch crappy talk shows on sundays when I was hungover lol

It is only worth it if you spend hours and hours every day watching TV ausnikki, and there is no way you will have the time to do that and be here on myLot as well. Oh dear, get your priorities right nikki. LOL
We did have it for a while when we lived in an area where there was no TV reception, or at least only extremely lousy TV. It was good then but was still costly all the same as we didn't have a choice in what we got, i.e. satellite only was available to us in that area. Initially price wasn't too bad, but then they changed the thing so it cost us extra for movies etc. Ended up costing a small fortune every month so once we moved, we cancelled it and never had it reconnected. Regarding the cost of it, friends have something now and the husband explains the cost as "just more than 2 slabs a month". LOL
Save your money nikki, and anyway soon enough you will have a new grandchild to keep you entertained. :)

Thanks ossie,I had already decided that I really couldn't afford Foxtel anyway,so have decided against it.You are so right,I will soon have a grandchild to entertain me.I think watching his/her parents will be quite entertaining too lol.
We all know what we are like as first time parents floundering around lol. Don't worry,I will help them out lol. :)

Spending your own hard earned money so that you can be indoctrinated into self-negating media ordained modes of thinking does not seem like a very prudent allocation of finances.

Apart from my mandatory subscription to the Icelandic national television I subscribe to one other station that gives us two or three free channels also. I used to subscribe to a statellite package that gave us dozens of channels and that was a big waste of money. I hardly ever watch tv and my son always watches the same stations so in my home, it's a big waste of money to pay for extra stations.

Hmmm, what kind of shows that foxtel show? It is something that interests you, that you don't get from the regular cable channels? Well my parents have bought extra 2 chinese channels and I think it was well worth it. Because my mom doesn't really understand english, and that channel shows chinese talk show, tv shows, movies, cooking shows 24/7.

I have never heard of Foxtel so I am unsure of what direction you should go. Good luck in whatever decision you should make about your tv issues!

I honestly think foxtel is a huge waste of money, We had it for almost 2 years and it cost us around $115 a month! Yes there was alot of shows on there that i liked but free to air tv is good to and i think it has actually got better before we got foxtel there was never anything good on free to air tv but now we dont have foxtel and i actually enjoy alot of the shows on free to air tv now!
