ok so these vexs me, there is nothing wrong with being on assistance as a stepping stone when you need help, but there are people who abuse that privlaige and find ways to stay on it for the rest of their natural lives. this sickens me. it sickens me even more when they pop out unwanted kids for the extra money. but this one burns me, two women from the annapolis valley in nova scotia, both on welfare, both mothers whom has given up their white children in favour of their black children are going to the caribbean. one is saying her "MARRIED" bf paid for half her ticket, and the other is claiming her man paid the full thing. come on now ya man never brought no food in ya house and he was there like every night spounging of you and you expect ppl to believe he dishing out money for your trip lol. i think these women should be spending the baby bonuses they get on they children rather then using it for a trip to jamaica, here i used to be on assistance so can i ask where my trip was?

This sounds like an urban myth. I'm on benefits and I travel to advocacy events and the like. I use part of my benefit money to pay and fundraise the other part. Secondly, what do you mean "both mothers whom has given up their white children in favour of their black children"?

first no urban myth i know both these heffas from long time. second wha hard to understand they both have one white child, and two blacc children, dem give up their white child in favour of them blacc children. three one dese heffas lost her blacc children to welfare a few days ago and instead of worrying about the fight to get them bacc she still plannin her trip. i don't think women who have children should be using their child tax credit for personal things like trips, shampoo or mentralcycle needs are one thing but trips cha... i don't agree with that's not what that money is intended for

Hi preciouz, and let me take this opportunity to welcome you to myLot! It appears you are kind of new here, so a great big WELCOME to ya! In the state of Kentucky they now have a limit of how long you can be on welfare. And it is not just a limit for a certain amount of time in a row, it is a limit on how long you can be on welfare in your entire life. I think that's a pretty good idea as long as they are helping these people find jobs...which they are!

These sorts of things happen all the time. The system needs to be really looked at. They give out a tremendous amount of food stamps to some people. I know some that get far more than they need. They also get guys and they provide housing and food etc for them in exchange for expensive gifts. If the guys are working decent jobs and not paying living expenses then they can afford such things on occassion. They need to stop letting the boyfriends live with them rent free. Many of them are on subsidized housing as well and they cover the fact that the boyfriend is living there. I am living in subsidized housing and I see tons of this stuff. They drive real nice cars, have big flat screen tvs and beautiful furniture & clothes. It isn't a difficult system to scam. The problem is that many are deserving and truly needing help and support. They don't get barely enough to get by. They need to be more attuned to what is going on with these people. I tried reporting one lady once that was abusing the system so very bad...she was collecting on kids that were not even living with her. I got told that they are a welfare agency not a detective agency.

As i told u before sis, I hate women like that, they make it hard for people who are on assistance because they actually NEED it (like me), then people wonder why welfare has such a bad name, because alot of people use it as an excuse to be lazy, which is not right !

yup, i mean i find myself judging those on it based by a handfull and forgetting that i once needed that help too. but there is ppl on assistance using it for right reasons, then there is welfare trash, and these two women we discussed are trash to the lowest forms
