Recently I've been thinking of getting a cat. I have a lot of experience with animals but my problem is that I'm not sure if i should or not because i don't have very much money. For those of you that own cats or kittens could you tell me if it's expensive to keep one? Not just to buy one but also to buy food and other things it may need. Thank youuuu! [:

I have 2 cats & don't find them to be that expensive. I mainly feed them dry food with an occasional can of food. I buy the larger bags of dry food & for one cat it should last up to a month. A 28 pound canister of clumpable kitty litter will last up to a month if cleaned properly & often. So you're up to about $20/month. Cats do enjoy little toys; but if you can't afford them, the cat's not going to really care. Most of the toys amuse the owner more than the cat. Just play with your little baby more & it will be happy. I found some of the feathery toys at my local dollar store that cost 4/$1.00. I had to pick them up & throw them at first. However, I find on my lazy days, my guy will throw them all over the house & chase them himself. Of dogs & cats, I find cats MUCH easier to deal with & the cheaper of the two!!!
