I hate to say it, but it's that old cliche for me i'm afraid... a nice meal and a few drinks!
Every year I mean to do something big and romancing, but each time the dreaded date arrives (which, if you ask me is far too close to Christmas)all those big money ideas just seem a waste of money and I end up bottling it!
Oh well, a dozen roses and a chicken vindaloo it is then!
PS, hope you find someone for VD. But remember, it 'aint the be all and end all x

I'm really not sure what I'm planning for Valentine's Day yet. I've been thinking but I can't come up with anything that sounds like a really good idea to me. I've thought about gift ideas, but I'm still pretty clueless yet. I know I really need to come up with something fast though because I know it will be here before I know it.

Hi
Well I am not single but I don't intend to do anything special on valentines day because I think its so false and such a commercial thing. Who wants to be told what to feel about love and when to feel it? Not me! I think people wh are single should celebrate the fact that they havent settled for second best and spend the day pampering themselves and putting themselves first. So many people get upset on Valentines day because they feel that they need someone elses validation about how special they are. Its a nonsense reinvented over again by card and gift stores and florists who want to sell overpriced roses. What could be more false than going for a romantic meal (even if you have had a row, feel tired or just not in the mood) in a restaurant full of other couples who are out just because its valentines day!
My partner and I do special things for each other all year round and I like to get flowers because he wants to show his love and appreciation spontaneously and not because he feels he has to because the calender dictates! Have a great day if you are single get some friends together and have a meal and drinks at home or go and get a massage or a manicure.:)

i am not sure yet. we still have some gift cards left over from christmas for a coffee joint, so we might ditch the kids and go there (they are 11 and 15 so i am sure they wont mind!) i want to make hubby a romantic card and a nice one for my parents to thank them for all the help they give me.

Well considering that it is a Saturday night (the night of traffice jam), I would be at home probably watching tv or a movie with mu husband. My husband's birthday is near around Feb 14 so I would cook his favorite for him and eat it together with him. Roses, chocolates and eating out is not in our list........Valentine's day is very comercialize and things are very very expensive...food and the roses. Besides roses wither very fast. So I would be at home..........

I have no plans really since i don't have a girlfriend right now? How about you? Maybe we can go to the part then proceed with the firing squad for those with no partners. lol! It's the usual corny joke here that you're single on Valentine's Day, then you go firing squad instead.
I think i'd rather spend Valentine's at home together with my mom because we're the only ones at home with Moochie of course! Maybe i should just give her extra attention. My sister, brother and dad's in another city. I usually don't have a girlfriend during Valentine's Day because it's either we broke up before Christmas or i got a girlfriend after the month of love. Among six girlfriends i had, only 1 experienced VDay with me.
