I think a child should be off the bottle when they are about 12 months old. I dont really know though my kids were fed the booby! So they never really had bottles. My oldest is 3 and she still has a sippy cup which she calls her boppy!

My daughter was 18 months when i stopped and that was only because i was having my son. She actually stopped herself she started drinking from a cup at 12 months and nursed only before naps and bedtime. Then eventually she just stopped on her own. My son was nursed till he was 3 months old and had to be stopped because his heart and lungs were to weak to continue. He was born with major heart problems so before his surgery at 3 months old he was tube fed for a month. I couldnt pump just wasnt getting anything so he had to be tubefed formulae. After he was tube fed he went straight to sippy cup.

Ha Ha.. As far as I have seen, you look to be having the bottle for the longest time. In most of the cases that I have come across, the kids leave the habbit of using feeding bottle when they are around 2yrs old.

The oldest for mine to give up drinking from a bottle is about 2 years. Me, probably about the same.

My son was off the bottle when he was 1 year old. The longer you wait, the harder the habit becomes to break.

My son stopped using a bottle when he was a little over a year old. I didn't want him to be one of those kids that's on a bottle until he's 5. Using a bottle until you're much older can be bad for you because it can make your teeth grow in funny.

My son was just under a year when he stopped using the bottle. He never liked cow's milk so when we got him of formula, we also stopped using the bottle.

All my kids were about 18 months old. I nursed them for about 6 months then went to bottle until 18 months. But they were also using the sippy cup too so made for an easier transition. I figured it this way.. they were biting holes in the nipples, so bye bye bottles.

My son is almost three and I've finally got him to reduce his bottle usage. its just before he falls alseep that he drinks from his bottle. My daughter is one, she doesn't like the bottle, I have ween her off of me, and thats much more diffcult then weening with the bottle. But personally I drank from a bottle till I was 7.....it was a comfort thing.

My daughter is 7 months old, I plan on giving her milk in the bottle till she's 2 years old, but only when she goes to sleep at night, during the day she drinks on the sippy cup and eats solid food.
