What can government do for the declining economy?

As we all know, people are experiencing financial crisis because of what happened to the economy of America. What do you think does President Obama should do to cope with the crisis?? How about the other government and officials in other parts in the world? How can they contribute? Even in our little ways, we can help as well just by posting here what we think.
