I would like to start submitting designs to Threadless.com and Designed by Humans but in order to do that I need Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. If I am going to get those I might as well get the whole Creative Suite. But I am poor. I just finished finished filing my tax return and have about $500 of it that I haven't earmarked for something else.
I have looked on Amazon at their used copies and found a couple I can afford but I wondered if anyone knew of any other place to look online for used copies. I am fine with an older version on faith that I will get paid from one of the t-shirt places and can then upgrade to the newest version.

Crimsonladybug, If you are not going to use it more frequently, one option rather temporary you can try is download a trial version from adobe site and use it. Typically it comes trial version is for 30 days or more. So after that you can uninstall if you still does not have a sufficient funds or does not get a cheaper version. I think this should work as you might want it urgently. All the best.
