Harry Potter

Harry Potter.........! its my favorite and even I cant wait for this to come. The story, the direction and everything is so perfect that its more than a movie. All the sequels are superb, just awesome. Unfortunately I just saw prisoner of Azkaben in theater and the rest at home theater. Let me keep in touch with this discussion and see if anyone knows when this is going to be in theaters.

i've never seen any of the movies or read the books.

I have not heard anything about this lately. I did not know another one was coming out also. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I have heard so much about Harry Potter...My aunt has read the books, and the movies everyone goes to see, but actually i have never gotten into Harry Potter....My aunt said after she is done with her books ,she was going to let me read them, i think i might...I have no idea when the movie is coming out , but i know how it feels to be so excited about something, i have been that way before about different things...Hopefully you will get to see the new movie and i also hope you will be able to see the one that you missed....

I was so disappointed when the release date was changed from November 2008 to July 2009. I have read all of the books and seen all of the movies many times and I'm a woman in her 40's. It is something that my children and I can enjoy together. I have friends that will not allow their children to read and/or watch the movies because they feel that it glorifies witchcraft and the occult. Can you imagine that? I feel that there are fairy tales, video games and cartoons out there that could damage a kids psyche more than this series. Anyway, I'm with you, dfollin, about not being able to wait for this 6th movie. Just wait for the 7th book to be put on the big screen. It'll be actually made into two movies because of the vast content of the 7th book.

Hello dfollin! I never heard yet about the coming movie of Harry Potter. I am pretty excited about it. Actually I more excited of the love story there. It's just so sad that they are now talking about getting a new kid for harry potter.

It's not still in production. It was supposed to be released the same weekend as Twilight but there were some internal decisions made by Warner Bros. that pushed it back to July. Which actually puts it back on the original schedule, which was every two years. Order of the Phoenix was released in July 2007 which made the November 2008 release date 8 months earlier than originally planned. There were so many rumors about the change in release date that I can't remember now what the real reason was. I believe that it was because Warner Bros. decided Summer was a better time for "family" films in terms of getting people to the theater. But that may have been one of the rumors.... like I said there were half a dozen of them. But it's finished. According to the IMDb page, Deathly Hallows part 1 has started filming and that page was updated last week.

On the imbd page it says that the release date is july 17, 2009 that is for Harry Potter and the half-blood prince. But since it is still in production if something happens between now and then it could change. but that is the date they give.
