I just recently started a discussion about frustrating myLot members who call other people narrow-minded just because we don't agree with them. Link:
And I thought about blogging about the encounter so I tried to look for that certain discussion. I can't find it anymore, not even in my "responded" section or in the search functionality of myLot. So my conclusion is that it got deleted. I don't know on what grounds - probably inappropriate conduct :P
I've had deleted discussions as well, but I don't mind since I discovered that similar discussions were already started before, so I'm fine with that. I should have searched before I posted anyway. However, to think that such "narrow-minded" member will have her active discussion deleted...I just can't imagine how she'll explode when she finds out :P

Well I respond to discussiions that interest me witha few provisos that is. If I believe a discssion violates the guidelines, then I seldom respond because I know it will be deleted anyway. If hoewever the discussion started is a new member, then I will probably respond to let them know the discussion violates the myLot guidelines and could be deleted. I will seldom respond to a discussion where there is flaming or trolling going on, because it is not worth the effort and often others end up entangled in it all. Yes I did once make a response to such a discussion and ended up with heaps of crap all over me then myLot deleted the discussion anyway.
Yes some people do have strong opinions or views on certain subjects and it is their right to voice them. However there really is never a need to get abusive or threatening, which unfortunately does happen sometimes. Actually I am quite sure that many people who are abusive in any of these forums, would not be like that in real life. It simply wouldn't be tolerated and it shouldn't be either. That is why some discussions are probably deleted as the comments and responses can get right out of hand. Sad in a way, because we should be able to have some decent discussions, if people were able to voice their opinions without fear or being abused for doing so.

Let me start by saying that I have alot of friends here that some of them have had their discussions deleted because of stupid things like this....I will tell you that you making this discussion will now only make it harder for you because MyLot will now be looking at your discussion and wondering why it should not be deleted also...this is what alot of us members that have been here for a long time call bashing and it just is not cool...Some of the best people you will ever meet have come and gone because of stuff like this...so how about you be bigger then the other person and let it end here and make a new discussion about something good...Us old timers have worked hard to make MyLot a great place to hang out with friends and make new friends...and if you think it is funny of how the other person will explode when she finds out her discussion got deleted..well how do you think she will feel when she sees this discussion...We are all adults here not kids...Enjoy MyLot dont bash it or its members, if you have a problem with this person just go about your business and in time they will move on also...Good Luck and dont take any of this the wrong way.

I do understand what you are saying..some members just dont understand the true meaning of MyLot..this was the first place I found about three years ago when I joined that was a really fun place to hang out at and I made so many great friends and I have seen many of them get their discussion deleted because they spoke the truth and someone got mad about it and didnt even know what the discussion was about. MyLot has so many members and ever so offten we come across someone that is really just here for the money which is not that much unless you sit here all day and night...but any hoo...I just want to say that sometimes one will make a discussion about someone elses discussion getting deleted and then the other person will make one about the person that made the other discussion and then the next thing you know you have 10 other members involed saying so and so said this and that and it just makes for an ugly scean...I hope that you just let it pass of this person and dont look back on her and she will move on to something else...they all do...Oh and welcome to MyLot..it really can be a fun place to hang out and make some new friends and a bit of change on the way.

Well she won't find out because I never retaliated in any negative way to her. I actually found it justifiable that her discussion got deleted because she was becoming mean to many members. I'm sorry if I offended you and I don't really mind if myLot starts following around all of my discussions and all of my replies because I try my best to give reasonable and informative ones :)
I'm not bashing myLot, I even wrote about it in one of my Associate Content saying that it's the only site that helped me earn after months of searching.
The people on the other hand - well a lot of you are pretty cool, but some don't really get the "discussion" part where they respond negatively to the responses they receive that does not agree with their ideals.
And don't mind me, I'm not taking it the wrong way. I actually feel it's good that you care so much about myLot :D At least I get to meet people like you in the same day that I get bashed by another member nothing I did wrong.

Yeah, i think the discussion is still there. "Frustrating myLot members". It could be that the pages messed up that's why it didn't appear. But i think it should appear on your started tab because it won't update unless you come up with new discussions every second like in the friends started tab. Ah you're talking about another discussion where the flaming happened?

If a discussion is deleted then im sure there is a very good reason. Personally I just write about what im interested in or feeling at the time. I love this website and hope to never have a discussion deleted. If one of my discussions gets deleted im sure there will be a reason for such action and I wont be mad. Its silly to get mad over the small stuff.

Well, personally for me and the length of time I have been here, I have seen a lot of people come and go, and seen a lot of discussions, etc. get deleted and sometimes wonder why while others continue to remain, and lost some $$ from referrals, etc. because of it as well. But personally I think there is really nothing that we can do besides take everything we post here with a Grain of Salt and if something gets deleted well, at least it lasted a while and someone noticed it or it would not have been deleted. But hey I post here to have Fun, and just wish more on here could continue to do this as well.

Hello oyenkai! Probably, there's a good reason why her discussion got deleted. I remember I have a discussion who got deleted too and now I truly understand why. It's because I am promoting other website which now I think is no use because I am not even active to that site anymore. So now, I focused here in mylot.

three of my discussions got deleted ..one of the i had started and other i had responded to and i still don't know why...It could be the same reason you've stated and if it is so then its their fault that they are narrow minded and their discussions should be deleted instead of ours
